FLOTUS asked about her musical tastes by kids
Laura Ingraham via the Chicago Trib via The swamp | Me

OK, I heard this on the late rebroadcast of Laura Ingraham here in Dallas on WBAP. Details I commented on were not in the article I found linked from her site. FLOTUS is doing some "bring your kids to work day" photo op. Lots of questions about the White House, and the dog, and other drivel.

One caught my ear, some kid asked what kind of music she listens to. She said "all kinds" and then listed Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, EW&F, Rhianna, Usher, Beyonce, heavy into the Beyonce apparently. Does anyone else see a pattern here?

What a load. "All kinds of music" is not on her iPod. What a fraud.

I wish I could have been the one asking that question. OK nitwit, who is your favorite bluegrass artist? I would have swooned if she answered me Alison Krauss. I prefer me some Stanley Brothers, or Monroe Brothers, heck I'd even take Flatt & Scruggs.

How about heavy metal, doofus? Black Sabbath or Metallica?

Who is your favorite country and western artist you fake? I'm partial to Hank Sr. but Garth or George Strait or even Carrie Underwood would have me voting for her in the next election.

How about Rock'n Roll you liar? Now, the answer of Elvis would have been good, or Led Zepplin, or even The Beatles.

What a fraud, and what a planted question. Sorry FReepers, I am just getting tired of this administration and their PR stunts.

The bottom line is that Lady Sasquatch is your typical black racist. As is its husband.

Well, I can only hope I don’t come across the same because all the people I listed are WHITE. Heck, if I like Stevie Wonder, too, and Aretha, and The Godfather, oh man and B.B. King. I just have wider musical tastes than she does, I can’t say “all kinds” because I hate most pop stuff out there nowdays.

I have never liked Clapton. “Layla” both versions, OK, and maybe back in the Cream days, but I’m not a big Slowhand guy.

Nope, for geetar guys, I’ll take Mark Knopfler.

The party was jumpin’ when Bertha got off o’ her stump,
The whistles were blowin’ and everybody did the “Bump”.
But all the time Bertha had been workin’ on her goodie,
Now folks call it “The Bertha Butt Boogie”.

When Bertha Butt did her goodie,
She started “The Bertha Butt Boogie”.
No question.

When Bertha got movin’ her hips were hummin’ in the wind,
The ground started shakin’ - no grass grew where she’d been!
The music was poppin’, the crowd had formed a ring,
Her sisters yelled, “Boogie, Bertha, do your thing!”.

Uh, for your information, Bertha had three sisters,
Betty Butt, Bella Butt and Bathsheba Butt.

When Bertha Butt did her goodie,
She started “The Bertha Butt Boogie”.
I said no question.

Hey, Leroy, get away from that woman!
The boy’ll never learn!
Uh-oh, here comes the Troglodyte!
Troglodyte: “Come here, sock it to me!”

Bertha stood back and yelled, “Betty, Bella, Bathsheba!”
And the Butt Sisters backed her up when she yelled, “I need ya!”.
The Troglodyte, Leroy, Luther and the Butt Sisters all knew
That “The Bertha Butt Boogie” was now the thing to do.

When Bertha Butt did her goodie,
She started “The Bertha Butt Boogie”.
No question.

Bertha: “I’ll sock it ya, daddy!”
Troglodyte: “Me like, me like! Come here, woman, woman!”
Leroy: “Yo’ mama, I’m calling you, man!”
Troglodyte: “Yeah - the Boogie!”

You’ll get me going all night here, I think “Life during wartimes” is pure genius.

For a bunch of weird units they put out some awesome tunes.

One of the best memories I have is in the 80’s I saw them live at Blossom Music Center outside Cleve...
an open air ampitheatre in summer..I was about 25 feet away from the stage, we were all up from our seats, after the first song..and what a show! I was mesmerized!
( we had a great time...and the funny part was none of that went had any alcohol or drugs ...and we HAD a great time!)

Heads? Yeah, I saw them here in Dallas one time. Show started with Dave Byrne and his acoustic and a jam box. “Psycho killer.” Then pregnant Tina came out, I for get what they played next, then the other members came out one song at a time until there were 9 people up there jamming.

David in his “big suit” was a riot. I’ll admit, alcohol was involved that night.

The Dems are destroying the country, and this president is leading their way.

But, who cares what kind of music Mrs. Obama listens to? (She also mentioned Sting, btw.) How does the type of music someone prefers prove that that person is racist? The Obamas might very well be racist... I don’t know. The sermons they listened to and the church they attended for years might be an indication. But... music? It’s just about taste, that’s all.
