Another amazing moment for Oprah seemed to come when she asked Mrs. Bush about 9/11. Mrs. Bush said something referring to being scared. Oprah got a shocked look and said that she had never thought about people in the White House being scared on 9/11!?!? Oprah, do you feel silly yet?

The White House went from a First Lady with a lot of class to one with a lot of ...
Sorry, I missed it. I never watch Oprah and wasn’t here in time to get the news. Laura is first class.
Oprah is like Larry King — they both fancy themselves as journalists. All they know how to do is ask celebrities about their latest stints at rehab.
I thought it was funny that she did not know a drinker could quit cold turkey. My father used to booze it up in his youth; then one day, he told my mother he quit. Mom didn’t believe him, but he did it and he stayed sober for the rest of his life. Dad might have been short and about 130 pounds soaking wet, but he was tough when he needed to be. He tackled drinking as a challenge and he never shrank from a challenge. A lot of people are that way. Oprah doesn’t see that sort of character in all those Hollywood types she associates with.
Why would Laura Bush want to go on Oprah?
MAybe she is to dumb to realize that the first lady was in the bullseye.
I agree. Laura Bush has more class in her little finger than the cumulative total of all Zero’s sycophants in the MSM.
My father quit smoking the same way. Just decided he didn't want to be a smoker any more, and stopped.
It was a good segment. The daughters were just as gracious as their mom.
It is not only the character, didn’t “Bill W” come out of the 30’s, about same time the “progressives” gave us prohibition or wwas winding it down? One succeeded by the Grace of God, while the other tried to play Him. The later failed, and being a progressive subconciously that must grate at Oprah, because given what historians are now saying about FDR, maybe “Bill W” was one of the greatest things to come out of that era. It just so happens maybe GWB followed “that model”.
I would have missed it but an ad for the show was on Fox so I put it on my tape schedule. if you get a chance to see it somewhere, you must as it’s the best Laura ever and Jenna and Barbara were a.joy.
My friend just wrote to say she cried through the whole thing, that she wept for where our country is now under this “regime” compared to what it used to be.
This family is a class act and George Bush is a lucky man. Opie started in at the beginning by using his full name and asking what Laura thought when she met him(secretly hoping that Laura would diss him, no doubt). Laura proclaimed that she “LIKED HIM ALOT” and made O. look kind of silly in her quest to get her to say something negative about her husband!
The girls reflect the upbringing that comes from good families like the Bushes. GWB has more integrity in his baby toe than exists in Zero’s entire dysfunctional Kenyan brood.(which has none). and Laura makes the First Sasquatch look like Aunt Edna on steroids. And let’s not forget that the FLOTUS used to like burning the American flag and calling anyone who wasn’t as black as her, “Whitey”.
Noone should be fooled by her “makeover”. She still has the heart of a bitter, vengeful, anti white American racist
I watched most of the show today. Laura and the daughters looked and acted classy.
Thank you.
Classy Laura pro death pro Kagan pro Gay. yeah shes got class alright. Bushes are RINOS.
