Yes, actually most/most/(maybe) computer owners (it does increase with time) should know better than to buy their peripherals from Apple, but there are many that don’t - and that helps Apples top line...

Really, I do think that most of the Apple folks think that they have to but Apple Peripherals so they are compatible...

People buy Apple peripherals because of the same level of care and respect for quality and beauty that goes into everything they do.

People buy peripherals from whomever because it’s a package deal, it looks cheap on the front end, or they don’t know any better.

Really, do you think anyone who has braved the FUD emanating from the MS camp for twenty years does anything out of ignorance? The easy path is the well-worn path of least resistance, and that is where the sheep trod. That’s always been anything Microsoft and still is.

It’s funny, watching these threads. It sounds as if “apps,” a stripped down, modular conceptualization of software wholly attributable to Apple starting with iPhone and now being extended with iPad, has taken over the world, lol.

All these squealling, stuck pigs carrying on about Apple not wanting a dedicated porn app in their store? Bizarre. They don’t want direct association and by implication their imprimatur upon pornography. The porn-addled masses are as free as ever to go out and find it on their own, on Apple or some other inferior, Apple-knockoff platform.

It sounds as if somebody has found something, *anything* to use as a wedge issue to hamper Apple, no matter how silly or picayune. Adobe Flash? Adobe pulled out because *they* couldn’t make Flash compatible with touchscreen. It’s not compatible because it doesn’t work. It doesn’t work because Adobe can’t figure it out.

The webmaster or site administrator who decides to preclude a wide swath of potential hits out of fealty to a dated, buggy standard such as Flash is an idiot. There is an alternative, an alternative that Adobe itself supports, called HTML5.

Stir all the crap you want, it’s just more FUD, more anti-hype, trying to buy time for another wave of clunky copies to make it to market, for the sheep to get fooled into buying because it has a half-@ssed camera or some other battery life draining, unnecessary “feature” added purely for marketing purposes.

But, by all means, carry on. It’s fun to see just how wide of the mark you guys continue to be.
