You are making a mistake. Apple sells third party peripherals at their stores for Apple computers. "Third Party" = made by other manufacturers ... with other companies' logos on them. They are sold competitively.

Names like HP, Canon, Sony, Sanyo, XM, Yamaha, Bowers & Wilkins, Griffen, Creative, Bose®, Harmon Karden™, JBL. Shure, Sennheiser, Epson, Lexmark, Samsung, Western Digital, LaciE, Iomga, Crucial, G-Technology, Drobo, Eye-Fi, Verbatim, Promise, Tandberg, RocketRaid, NVIDIA, GForce, to name a few... none of them Apple products, and all of them priced competitively with stores such as Best Buy ... as well as Apple's computers.
