Ion. Between Ion, Syfy, and CBS, it was showing 7-10 times a week. This was a show my wife and I could watch together. She liked the girlie plot and I liked looking at JLH.

"Thankfully not all of them."

All of them who are really conservative. You might be more at home over at ALGORE's webpage. I believe they have a Julia Louid-Dreyfus fanpage there. You should fit right in - enjoy your tofu and your Prius.

Numb3rs was good for the interaction of the main characters (including the scientist/monk/astronaut).
They might have written any kind of story around that core and done pretty well.

I'll miss Cold Case, not sure why.

Thanks, although I do have a Toyota it’s not a Prius, just a ‘98 Camry. I do enjoy tofu if prepared well. I guess if you include wishing people poorly because your political views differ, as a requirement to be a conservative, I would be lacking on that point.

Finally, Shatner stars in his first sitcom whose title alone is sure to be noticed. Called something akin to "(Bleep) ... My Dad Says," it focuses on Shatner's character as an opinionated dad whose rants find their way into the public sphere when his son posts them on a Twitter account read by millions.

Lots of potential for abuse in this one, only I doubt Shatner will allow the Hollyweird Libtard contigent to present him as an Archie Bunker. But who knows? This is CBS.

I watch Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs. But I was tired of the little boy on Ghost Whisperer, so I’m not surprised it’s being cancelled and Numb3rs felt like a finale, so I’m not surprised about that one either. With 24 and Lost also ending I suppose we will have to find something else to do, but oh well..... ;)

I never watched it, altho I did see one clip that was one of the funniest bits ever, where she realized she had sent something she didn’t mean to send on her computer and she pulled the plug thinking it would stop it from going. I just thought it was funny because most of us have done that.

I wish they would get rid of the little boy. I hate to say that, but the whole kid thing has really ruined the show. I much prefer Medium.

Hey, Captain Hyperbole, no one is wishing people poorly. I'm just wishing them off the air. If she can find gainful employment elsewhere, more power to her.

Television is a business. Like any business, it's going to struggle when it's openly hostile to half of the country. When CBS starts putting shows on that aren't as rabidly contemptuous of conservative values and conservative causes, then maybe I'll change my mind. Until then, I'm ecstatic when their most politically outspoken stars - to especially include Dreyfus - find themselves unemployed and more importantly, off the air.

Again, this is how conservative-minded people think. If you're shedding some tears over this ridiculous show, perhaps you're not as conservative as you'd like to believe, or have others believe - just saying.

On the bright-side, I hear wife-beater, hooker-user and 9/11 Truther, Charlie Sheen is coming back for at least two more seasons. I'm sure you're thrilled about that.

Why don’t they just put in reruns of Get Smart (the original). Now THAT was worth watching and I never see it on TV.

I loved Cold Case as well even though, all else being equal, you could always be sure it will be the straight white guy who did the murder. I should not have watched it, and it is the only series show I have watched in quite a while, but I enjoyed it very much. Only started watching it this year, but, since you can see a season in two weeks on TNT, it was easy to follow.

Some choice examples (SPOILER ALERT)

The entire chastity club, who each have their own sexual hang ups, stone to death the uninhibited girl because she broke up their cozy hypocrisy. A bonus to the priest who masturbated while one of the girls discussed her sexual dreams. The entire cast think the chastity club is barking at the moon crazy (even before they find out who did it).

The white construction foreman who, not only actively engaged in exploiting the Cambodian workers through immigration law, also obsessed over one of the Cambodian women to the point of forced oral sex and humilation (licking boots) on both the sister and the woman. Of course he was the killer. A bonus to the heroin addicted former white student teacher who bought smack from the former black smack dealer/user/vet who becomes a father figure to the orphan of the couple killed.

The white boy friend of a black hooker in the 1920s who kills her because she won’t abandon her kid and run off with him.

The Philadelphia KKKish group who lynch a black boy because he plays chess with the wife of one the men and wants to turn the man in for raping his girlfriend.

The church family (father is music director of church) whose wife is a drunk and a bully. She kills the father after finding out about his affair, and, while the father tries to get the son away from her so he can go to the prom. She cynically makes it look like he was killed trolling for hookers/crack.

Local hoods who beat the death a star gay baseball player. Cops just stay back and allow it to happen.

A cynical attempt by a white professor to pin a second murder and cover up the first murder on a schizo art student by hiring someone to kill a hooker acquaintance of his.

Lots of black hoods on a street corner sniffing glue, but the guy who killed the boy was the white shop owner the boy stole from.

A black and white couple help women get safe abortions in the 1960s. They are killed by the white FBI informant who does not want his cover blown. Lots of opportunities to bad mouth abortion restrictions as this ultimately noble couple work to stop the horrors of illegal abortions.

White father of a black star’s teammate stabs the black star out of jealousy. Black uncle and black loan shark look good for the crime, but it has got to be the white guy.

A black guy is executed for a murder done by a white guy (can’t remember the details). White investigator and ADA are complicit on the conviction/execution.

A white housewife is killed in the south by a wannabe KKKer for doing civil rights activities in the south. Body brought back by friends and dumped after white police officer refuses to listen to the friends because two are black.

All man on boy sex crimes/murders done by suppressed heterosexuals living in heterosexual relationship.

Of course some black on black crime occurs, but I am having a tough time remembering any black on white crime episodes. The show in no way reflects the actual homicide statistics in Philadelphia (or course they may argue cold cases mean that the perpetrator is unexpected).

Ghost Whisperer was the only CBS program I watched. I was wondering how much longer it would be on when the new season started. I wasn’t crazy when they killed her husband off, then had him come back in a new body. Then when they started this season with five years having passed, and Jim was Jim again, and a doctor, it was a little too much.

We do watch Criminal Minds, altho ALL of the crime dramas think they need to preach at us. Wish they would stop that. It’s as if they think none of us can think for ourselves.
