John Lennon's Imagine came in at three
Oh how I hate that frickin' song. One of the most evil popular songs ever sung.

I generally like most all of the 60s and 70s rockers and folkers. But how anybody ever decided that Bob Dylan had any musical talent at all is completely beyond me. There’s another Minnesota product named Prince that is even more of an enigma to me, who doesn’t just lack talent but assaults the ears with painful and hideous crap that no sentient creature would ever voluntarily listen to.

Totally agree on Dylan. Good Vibrations deserves on the list but Imagine is an awful song. IMO, George Harrison was the best songwriter in the Beatles. Bob Dylan, Ray Davies and Elvis Costello are my favorites.

I should also add Brian Wilson. Absolutely incredible songwriter.

If he’d have done it later with Jimi accompanying and tied it in with the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse on “Slow Train Coming” it would be awesome.
Just sayin’.

Yet, Prince can play the electric guitar. No words can adequately describe how much I despise the squeak and grunts that spring from the disgusting little jerk.
Back in the 80s at large noisy college house parties, I would suddenly be overcome by the most profound sense of irritation. Of course, it turned out the problem was the disgustingly awful noise pollution from the androgynous little creep being played on the house stereo.

I’d add Hurricane, Ballad of a Thin Man and Another Cup of Coffee to your list. And there are so many many more.

Sorry but, Like A Rolling Stone was so overplayed on radio when it came out that I learned to hate it - and still do. I nearly break my finger, because of hitting the radio station preset button so fast, whenever it comes on.

Okay, and we wouldn't want to minimize the affinity of demons for what they can use.

“Yet, Prince can play the electric guitar.”
He could have been a great musician - yet he got caught up in sexual innuendo and nonsense.
He is an incredible guitarist who never seems to challenge his talent on record at least.
Yet despite all that talent seeing him makes me want to vomit!
