What is going to happen to our country ?

Posted on 05/26/2010 2:22:18 PM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

I grew up playing baseball and football in a town of about 5000 people. I still remember standing on the pitchers mound with my mom is the stands watching me. I remember those summer days at the local swimming pool.

I miss that feeling. Not wanting to be child again. But I miss the feeling of knowing our country was going to be ok. I feel like a nightmare started on 9/11/01 and I need to wake back up.

I never liked to cry and show fear. But I have to admit that I am afraid of the future. What is happening to our country ? The national debt just hit 13 trillion. What is going to happen to our country ?

I worry about my daughters. What kind of country are they going to grow up in over the next 2 decades ?

I was watching Glenn Beck and I just had to turn it off and spike my mountain dew with some vodka.

I just can't watch anymore. This is a nightmare.

We just fought for a couple months straight against a mosque being built “out in the country” in the most Christian part of Wisconsin. I addressed the town board with my concerns as many others did. Local pastors brought in Walid Shoebat and Brigitte Gabriel in to speak to their congregations. Unfortunately, there were no truer words than “you can’t fight city hall”-in this case the Town of Wilson board. They are useful idiots. Most people spoke against the mosque, but some fools got up and “welcomed their Muslim brothers and sisters”. The Mosque opened last Friday. God (the REAL one) help us all.

Did you know that in China, they still don’t have property taxes, and the high end of taxation is like 15%?

And now we hear that a mosque is being built at ground zero, and if rumor is correct, the groundbreaking will be on 9/11? Literally, that is like a declaration of war to me.

“What is going to happen to our country ?”

With my best wishes and love to you, a lot of folks still don’t get it.

There are 300,000,000 Americans living in the U.S. who continue to sit on their fat hands and whine as the country is going down the drain.

No one has the resolve or courage to do anything about it but yammer, yammer, yammer.

End of store.

As a U.S. citizen, I don’t live in the U.S., so basically it’s not my problem anymore. What am I going to do? Carry a pitchfork through customs?

You have to see the positive as well as the negatives that are going on. I think the fall of the West is very similar to what happened with the rise of Christianity as the ancient Roman Empire collapsed in slow motion.

I see a spiritual revival within America as those at the top run us headlong off of a bridge while the majority of the country is getting back to the basics. If you take the time to study, pray, and practice what has made this country you can become part of that revival. Be a man and do the right thing! Stop drinking, get a clear head, study, pray, and invest in the future.

I feel exactly like you, only my nightmare began during the early Clinton years. The thing is, the socialists have been destroying our free republic at least since FDR, or per Beck since Woodrow Wilson, some say back to the Civil War.

I have always been a freedom fanatic, but back around 1995 I realized that the socialists, at home and abroad, were destroying our Constitutiona rights at breakneck pace.

Now, I find it impossible to be genuinely happy. When I was ignorant about all this, I was a very happy person. I was happy with what I had and my modest life. Now, I just can’t find happiness.

If I felt like the country was moving toward more personal liberty and less government control and oppression, I would probably be a very happy person. My personal life is pretty good and is satisfying. I am content, but I can’t be happy knowing what lies ahead for future generations of Amerincas.

What grieves me the most is the feeling of inevitable tyranny. I know there are optimistic Conservatives fighting back and hoping to win. I am not one of those. I will fight back, but it is with pessimism, not optimism. I don’t want to be pessimistic about the inevitability of coming US central government tyranny. I have several reasons for being pessimistic.

1) Name one nation that has surrenndered its freedom to tyrants and got their rights back? I can’t name one.

2) Our form of government requires an informed, moral electorate — Judeo Christian in nature — to thrive. Voters are increasingly immoral and uninformed.

3) Children are being completely brainwashed by socialist school teachers.

4) The TV and print media completely controls the disemination of information to those who won’t seek it.

5) Half of Americans pay no taxes and want a free ride, those numbers growing constantly.

6) Huge numbers of immigrants have little or no appreciation for the constitutional rights we have lost, and want the socialist benefits of their former countries.

7) Socialists from outside the USA are pouring resources into insuring the dumbed-down masses embrace socialism and are buying their loyalty with entitlements.

I could probably go on a good long time more if I wanted to.

I think it impossibible I could ever be happy again knowing that my nation is doomed. I don’t want to believe that. I love being picked up by the optimists who want to think that the USA will do something no nation has done in 10,000 years of recorded history — surrender their personal liberty to government totalitarianism and later fought politically or otherwise and successfully restored their lost liberties.

I don’t see it happening and knowing that makes it impossible for me to be “happy” ever again. I experience joy. I can be content. I’m not happy. I will never be happy.

Brother I share your concern! I’m afraid that the country is turning it’s back on God and that will be very, very bad for us. Our Founders weren’t perfect but they recognized that they were being guided by Divine Providence when they established this country and American Exceptionalism was the result. Now our leaders scoff at the very idea of American Exceptionalism and to hear them speak I don’t believe they even know what it means.

i’m afraid for the country and I’m very afraid for my grandchildren who are going to have to cope with the mess that we’ve consigned to them. It’s very, very sad.

You are watching America in the process of decline.

This nation has spit in God's face and spent the last 50 years working tirelessly to kick Him out of this nation and now He has accommodated us and has left.

What you are watching is what happens to a nation when they turn away from God:

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (Psalm 9:17)

God means what He says. You can expect conditions in this country to get worse and there is not a politician alive who can save us.

It would take a serious revival to bring America back to the way it was. It would take the repeal of special rights for those who engage in behaviors that God has called abominations, it would take repeal of legalized abortion, it would take the removal of Barack Obama as president, it would take basically of a repeal of every anti-God law in this nation. None of that is going to happen in America; not with the rotten spiritual condition we are in.

The only thing that would save us is a nation-wide repenting of our rebellions and offenses against God, a nation-wide turning back to Him, and a time of national obedience to Him and a serious attempt to go back to basing our laws on His ordinances until He chooses to show us mercy.

Those are the only things we could do to turn everything around and I see none of that happening in the country we have today.

People just love their sin and rebellion and darkness too much.

Handwringing is the hallmark of liberalism. Yes this time is beyond comprehension for most of us. But we are the solution. It will be costly but we will win.

I am with you SE Ohio. It is absolutely amazing watching what’s going on. Unfathomable. It’s like we are covered with attackers that we, as a nation, refuse to shake off and kill.

Why can’t we tell them to take the 911, NY mosque and cram it up their ass?? A “seed of peace”?? I don’t want peace with those people.
Why can’t we tell the tree huggers to go to Hell??
Why isn’t the NY Times in jail for sedition?? Seriously!
Why are we even talking about homos in the military??
Why are there not “stop spending” RIOTS in DC?
Why is there not MASSIVE civil disobedience until we see Idiot’s birth cert???
Throw BP out of the Gulf and SIEZE the well?

I don’t remember our US being a big clown car full of wussies.

My husband is glued to Glenn Beck right now and I wish he could bring himself to turn it off. I know Glenn is speaking the truth and is very sincere about what’s he’s doing but there is only so much that a human being can stand. You absolutely cannot allow yourself to be bombarded over and over with this and maintain your sanity AND your health. My husband’s health is not good and he complains about stress. We are retired, for goodness sake. He allows this stress to enter his life and for what? No person should allow this negativity to rule their life and expect to survive it.

I agree it is not good to subject oneself to constant negativity. I tried watching Beck a couple of weeks, and then gave up. For one thing, he repeats himself so often from one day to the next that I get tired of the redundancy. If you must watch, tune in once or twice a week at most.

The show I watch most on Fox News now is RedEye. The host is fairly conservative, and his guests range from congressmen to comedians to pundits. They take a comedic approach while making a point so that you can at least get a chuckle out of a bad situation. I have to DVR RedEye. It comes on @ 3:00 A.M. central.

I had recorded Beck's 2:00 A.M. show one night, and it spilled over a little into RedEye immediately afterward. Eventually, I decided to just record RedEye and skip Beck.

If you want to know what will happen if we don’t change, look at Great Britain who once wanted the sun to never set on their Empire. By ignoring their own country others grew strong while they grew weak.

The more you get involved with solving the problems of the world with force and dollars, the more likely it will be for those that disagree with us to bite us in the arse. We have enough problems to solve.

There is nothing new under the sun. There have always been worries about threats to the Republic, internal and external ... the Nazis (WWII), the Soviets (missile crisis, arms race, MAD), the terrorists, Great Depression, race riots, this recession. If you are a man of faith, just rest in the knowledge that everything will happen as it should.

I would suggest letting Glenn Beck go though. I like Beck. He seems nice, and he’s right most of the time. But, the man is a grade-A alarmist ... chicken little reincarnated. He’s the conservative equivalent of an end-of-the-world environmentalist — there is simply no situation Beck cannot take to a catastrophic conclusion. It is unproductive and gives the weak-stomached ulcers.

What will be will be.

“On September 11 of 2001, I called a lot of people with “I told you so”s. Not because I was terribly smart or prescient, but merely because I had been awake and attentive.” .............................................. When those buildings went up in 73, I said then, “They gotta be crazy, they built a bulls eye in Manhattan for any enemy that wants to hurt us.” 1982 my daughter informed me she was going to work at the WTC in her new job. My response to her, then, was; “Get the hell out of that building, its going to be a target.” She found another job shortly afterwards. As fate would have it, I was suppose to be down the street from there on Sept 11th, but decided to go a day earlier. Terrorists are either criminals, crusaders, or crazies and they will target anything that will get them on the front page or the 6 0’clock news..

I just can't watch anymore. This is a nightmare.
You know what they say about nightmares. It seems like it lasts all night, but it's only a few seconds in reality. That being said, the End Times will no doubt be longer than a few seconds, and it's not clear how long they will actually be or when they will come with fervor, but hold on to your hat, and pray. The good guys win out.

I use essential oils instead of vodka, because it's easier on the liver. For nervousness/anxiety, I use Frankincense or Lavender (there are others too) made by Young Living (because they produce therapeutic oils; the only ones that can cure). You can find them online. I also have acupuncture weekly. Works amazingly well on stress. I also pray; my husband and I just got back from our 3:30 daily walk with the dogs; we pray the Rosary together.
