LOL! Of course it’s the weather’s fault. Where would we be without Bush and/or the weather. We can blame almost everything on one of the two!

Wow...that is one incredible title. I hope we never have weather like that here - I don’t have time to try to sail around the world alone.

Really! It's bad enough when the weather makes you take a nap all afternoon, but sailing around the world makes it hard to get much else done.

Poor Little Boat Girl.

No fame or fortune for her!

Life is cruel.

It was her father who made her do it..and the reason why the boat wasn’t properly fixed the first time it had issues was because he was afraid that someone else would break the record. The family sounds like a bunch of media whores looking for their 15 minutes

Her ATTEMPT is the weather's fault?!? Not it's failure?

Are ANY editor's left out there with a hint of grammatical knowledge?

I guess it was so hot in her hometown she had to sail around the planet to cool off. Makes sense.

Are there any poster's with any grammatical knowledge? Its embarassing making errors in a post criticizing someone else ... not that I don't do it myself ...

I am thrilled that the girl is Ok, but now she says she wants to go back..seriously, she wants to go back and try this again, and she expects people to go rescue her again if she gets stranded

I thought there would be more sympathy / understanding around FR for this girl and her family . The leftist nanny staters have been attacking the parents for allowing her to go , some even suggesting she should be taken away from them ! This girl ( and her bro Zak ) are American heroes with that pioneer spirit and true grit . Compare what she tried to accomplish to what the average 16 year old girl in CA does with her time . Ease up !

I'm not sure we need another thread about this ...

... but let's give a few more of the ignorant, nanny state, spineless, do-nothings another chance to expose themselves.

After all, history has thoroughly deprived them of their rightful legacy.

The boat is still afloat a TRUE SALIOR would jury rig a sail and continue on to the nearest port down wind and repair the boat.
