CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- A New Hampshire sex offender is asking the state's highest court to allow him to go to church with a chaperone.

The case of 35-year-old Jonathan Perfetto of Manchester marks the first time the New Hampshire Supreme Court is being asked to rule on whether a probation condition that effectively bars church attendance violates a person's constitutional rights to religious freedom.

I disagree. His religious freedom should not be denied just because there may be children in the area.

Seriously. He’s even talking about having a chaparone—is there really ANY chance any child is going to be in danger? I mean it’s not like he’s petitioning to lead a group of schoolchildren.

Also, if you’re doing church by yourself at home, you’re doing it wrong. There’s no such thing as a Christian that isn’t plugged in and active with a church community.

No one is denying his right to practice his religion. By committing a felony though, he might of lost to right to congregate. (especially in the presence of children)
