Idiot. The initial defense fund was itself a frivolous ethics violation and ruled illegal. Alaska law does not compensate her for legal expenses. Where would she have gotten the money?

If you were under attack from all sides and the attack was also against your family, if you knew that chances were these growing attacks were not going to stop and that the intent of these attacks were to see to your professional and personal destruction, as well as the destruction of your family....... Palin left and by doing so she gave her family security, quickly made over 12 million dollars and put herself into the political system as a power player. I’d say she has won against the bastards.
