Lawmakers pass $20M settlement for kidnapped girl

(AP) -- A woman held captive for nearly two decades by a rapist out on parole will receive $20 million from the state of California for her ordeal, during which she bore two children to the man whom officials were supposedly monitoring..Lawmakers approved the settlement Thursday for Jaycee Dugard, now 30, and her two daughters, who resurfaced last August after being held in a secret backyard by a suspect identified by authorities as Phillip Garrido....

Funny how there is no mention that the Parole Agents responsible have had ALL THEIR CIVIL ASSETS SEIZED to pay for their incompetence and illegal actions, There is also no mention of their FIRING or CRIMINAL PROSECUTION as Accessories to the crimes. Maybe because THEY WERE GIVEN A PASS FOR THEIR ILLEGAL AND INCOMPETENT ACTIONS.

95% of the Government Employees give the 5% a BAD NAME.

I hope she spends a million on theorpy. To look at your children and see what is good in you and who they were sired by has to be heart wrenching.

This is a primary example of why our prison system is screwed up. We have people out of prison whom we monitor. If they cannot be trusted, fully trusted, after their release then why are they out? Why are we not hanging rapists, murderers and violent offenders that have hurt people?
