The six-month election recount that turned former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Al Franken into a U.S. senator may have been decided by convicted felons who voted illegally in Minnesota's Twin Cities.
That's the finding of an 18-month study conducted by Minnesota Majority, a conservative watchdog group, which found that at least 341 convicted felons in largely Democratic Minneapolis-St. Paul voted illegally in the 2008 Senate race between Franken, a Democrat, and his Republican opponent, then-incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman.
The final recount vote in the race, determined six months after Election Day, showed Franken beat Coleman by 312 votes -- fewer votes than the number of felons whose illegal ballots were counted, according to Minnesota Majority's newly released study, which matched publicly available conviction lists with voting records.

Gomer Pyle saying, “Surprise, surprise.”
Class action suit should be filed in court to nullify the election based on voter fraud and illegal voting.
Is it not possible to turn this election around now that this information has been revealed?
No problem. Tonight Secretary of State Mark Ritchie will announce that he just found another 1000 Franken ballots in the trunk of his car.
Surprised? NO. So now what are the people going to do about it in Mn?
Democrats thrive on illegal voting, criminals voting, illegals voting, double voting, ACORN cheats voting, and in addition, they get the ignorant voters.
....if Franken had a shred of honor or integrity, he would quit in disgust now that it has been proven that he "won" his "seat" by fraud and deceit....
...I would bet, however, that honor nor integrity is anywhere to be found in Al Franken's being.

They'll just say it's sour grapes. Everybody knows for a conservative to win, they have to win by a landslide. Any close elections will just be stolen.
The only close one they couldn't steal was 2000, and all they did was say Bush stole it instead.
Franken is safe in his seat because FEC investigations run a backlog of over 10 years.
When Mary Landrieau was “elected” in Louisiana, she carried one of the 54 parrishes in that state. (Orleans parrish, the Louisiana home of acorn.) Her challenger filed a suit with the FEC but was informed that his case wouldn’t even come up for at least 8 years, 2 years longer than a senate term. Plus he would have had to pay a retainer to lawyers to keep the case going.
We need to have at least a 2 percent spread on these races to get rid of the scam factor.
so does certifying the votes create fraud, felony, something to be charged with & go to jail.
if the person has nothing to fear it’ll never stop.
send their a$$es to JAIL.
EXACTLY! Recall the POS and have another election!
They know getting the votes is the most important thing, however they get em. Once the vote is settled they ain’t gonna overturn anything anyway.
Like illegal contributions, there’s no real penalty. Use the money, get elected, then pay some back if you get caught.
LOL!
