I think the safety factor of any gun depends on which end is pointed towards you.
Stupid bureaucrats... Guns don’t kill people, rapidly decelerating bullets do!
Thompson G2 Pistol, single shot, in .22 Short
That list required a lot of research time. Guess they have that kind of time on their hands.
I’m surprised to see Marlin on the list. Why not Winchester?
In all seriousness, I’m shocked to see the Sig Sauer Mosquito, and ALL Hi-Point models on the list. I mean, the Hi Point 9mm pistol is even approved in CA!
Can someone post the list? I can’t go to a mean old gun site from work.
Ethan Allen? Boy you know you’re dealing with snobs when they get their handguns from Ethan Allen. (HHOK! I know, I know..)
Royal Arms Factory? The Enfield revolver is considered unsafe?
These appear to be dog brand Saturday Night Specials. None of the Major Brands Like Colt, Beretta, H&K, S&W, Taurus, or Springfield Armory are listed. In fact, every handgun I own would be legal in Chicago including the Desert Eagle .50AE.
The problem is not the instrument. It’s the human holding the instrument. A responsible, law-abiding person can be holding the instrument and there is no problem. But if a spoiled, irresponsible, coddled, law-breaking person holds the instrument there will be trouble.
Instead of controlling the instrument, they should be controlling the criminal! Ah, but they know that! And they deliberately choose to leave the criminal alone and concentrate on the instrument in the hands of the law-abiding person.
Hey, don’t knock ACME. My grandfather’s double barrel 12 gauge shotgun (with hammers!) was made by ACME.
As far as I know, no road runners were harmed by this gun.

If it's on the list it's out. If it's not on the list, it can still be registered. Colt only lists "all derringers" S&W "all spur trigger models" and Taurus and Beretta aren't mentioned.
that list bans guns with spur triggers and knife guns. I think theyre looking at a gun catalog from 1897.
