Dengue fever has infected a handful of people in Central Florida, health officials said.

“This is not a regular flu virus that you get, you feel a lot worse,” said Dr. Todd Husty.

“You get a real great fever, a horrible fever; it's called ‘break bone fever.’ You feel like your bones are breaking, but it's really joint pain,” Husty said.

Health officials said more than a dozen people have picked up the virus from Mosquitoes in the Keys.

More than 30 more across the state of Florida have the fever after picking it up out of the country.

The headline is misleading. The people got the Dengue fever in other countries.

The number of diseases that were conquered long ago in most Western countries but still flourish in Turd World countries are making a comeback. TB, leprosy, dengue fever, Chaga’s Disease, and others plus the problem of bed bugs is on the increase all over America. When we allowed the politicians to open our doors unrestricted to immigrants and illegal aliens along came their problems.

I used the headline that was provided. I think there have been 3 cases of people catching it here in Florida.

Unchecked immigration....the gift that keeps on giving.

Once the left elitists kids start catching Chaga’s Disease then we might start seeing an uproar from the media regarding the immigration issue.

I wasn’t familiar with Chaga’s Disease but a little research is thoroughly depressing.

Care to enlighten the rest of us? What is Chaga’s Disease? I have never heard of it... not that I can recall of right off-hand.

I was commenting on the news writer. I think most of the cases come from Keys.

This is a bit interesting when you consider how fast West Nile virus got a foothold and spread up the east coast.

We use to screen people for health reasons before they entered the USA.

You’re right. The media is covering it up by not reporting the actual source of the diseases & the government is renaming them—leprosy is now known as Hansen’s Disease & it is making a come back. Hardly anybody is talking about this.

I read another article last night that reported a woman getting this virus while vacationing in Florida.

I had this once — caught it on a trip to the Caribbean.
The pain is unspeakable. Children die from it.

Wrong, Dengue fever is in florida, along with at least 6 other deadly misquito born diseases, including Malaria.

Nope. I was to FL last year and a woman from NYC contracted Dengue in Key West per newspapers from down there.
