Wedding bell buzz is kicking into high gear in Rhinebeck, and as the town prepares for Chelsea Clinton's big day more details are emerging about the groom.
Clinton's fiancé, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, is about to become the man of the hour.
The daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is expected to marry Mezvinsky on a private estate on the river on Saturday.
The two met as teenagers at a leadership retreat in 1993, both went to Stanford and, like Chelsea, Mezvinky has dealt with adversity -- his father, a former congressman, served time in prison for fraud.
Town officials in the Hudson Valley bracing for Clinton's wedding this weekend approved spending $2,500 for extra police coverage.
The Rhinebeck Town Council authorized the spending during a meeting Monday.
The Clintons have refused to disclose the location of the wedding. But Rhinebeck Supervisor Thomas Traudt said based on his conversations with state and county police, Wedding bell buzz is the extra service this weekend will be helpful.
One resident at the council meeting shouted that the extra expenses should be paid for by the father of the bride.
Rhinebeck, a town of about 8,000 residents, is just 75 miles from the Chappaqua, N.Y., home the former president and first lady bought before her successful run for the U.S. Senate in 2000. The Clintons have passed through the town a number of times.

Then when Dad, back to practicing law, got in over his head falling for 419 scams, he started stealing from clients and even his own mother-in-law. The Clintons have been implicated in 30 murders?Dude, for real? They have left a trail of bodies going back to the front door of the Rose Law firm, where Hil worked with Web Hubbel and Vince Foster. There is even a name for it: "Arkancide". Books have been written about some of them (The Boys on the Tracks), and several of Bill's (AR State Police) bodyguards who had intimate knowledge of his crimes "committed suicide".I know about Vince Foster, but who are the other 29?
One of them "committed suicide" right before he was supposed to get married, not exactly a sad time in a person's life. He used a shotgun instead of his service revolver which was found nearby, and he somehow shot himself in the back of the head.
PS: Vince Foster's murderers did not know he was left-handed, and placed the gun in his right hand. Also, the caliber of bullet found in his head was a different caliber than the gun. Nothing suspicious there, no sirree!
I’m not disagreeing with you, but who else besides Foster? And yes I am for real, I’ve never heard a body count this high, except for in Willy’s bedroom escapades.
Some of it is pure conspiracy: One or two BATF guys who died at Waco were once Arkansas State Troopers who served on Clinton's security detail. They were killed by bullets to the back of the head, contrary to where the Daviians were supposedly firing from.
