It's not made of gold, but a yellow lobster pulled from Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay is very rare.
Lobsterman Denny Ingram says he found the lobster in one of his pots the bay's East Passage last week. It is golden on the top and bright yellow on both sides.
Experts say the genetic feature is very rare, occurring in about 1 in 30 million lobsters.

Hope they give him a chance to make more yellow lobsters, although picking out the yellow ones from all those that hatch(or whatever lobsters do) would be a intern’s job.

I’ll bet he’d be great with a side of hush puppies, tater tots, and cole slaw.

Yellow lobsters are yellow because they come pre-packaged with melted butter...
