The Ark of the Covenant is in EthiopiaPossibly. I know there are several "replica's" there, and an annual procession. I am not sure the original is there, but I believe it exists somewhere for the right time.
I have read about the journey to Egypt and Elephant Island. This is interesting conjecture, but in the scheme of things it is not important. Regardless of our perspective, in Gods due time.

LEGENDARY Temple! Indeed.
Even Josephus did a good job of describing it. There is no legend, it in fact did exist.

Simple explanations are best.
Worn out scrolls, scrolls by heretics or forgers that contain the 4-letter name of God, have always been placed in a “genizah”. The Genizah at Cairo was also a spectacular find.
A scroll in a genizah could not be assumed to be authoritative without other evidence.
But there are no theological axes to grind in a humble genizah.

From time to time you may also see references like “legendary home-run hitter Babe Ruth”.
C’mon.
