I’d still much rather have Kirk than obami’s basketball buttboy, Alexi. That is what it really comes down to.

They’re both Zero’s buttboys. The fact you believe you have a real choice in this race between two corrupt Socialist Combiner puppets is the problem.

I would wager to bet that all the IL FReepers despise Alexi. The problem we have is Kirk makes RINOs look like right wingers. The bum said he'd vote for Elena Kagan, I originally thought, "well he's a vote for Mitch McConnell". I dunno if we can really rely on someone who has stabbed conservatives not in the back but the heart over and over again.

I still think he will beat Alexi just because Mark Kirk has compiled an enormous war chest that he hasn't dug in to yet. And he has more dirt on Alexi that he is just waiting to unleash on the radio, tv and internet.

Mark Kirk will make the election about Alexi and not about what Kirk would do for Illinois. If I had to choose between Alexi and Kirk I'd still go with Kirk just because I've despised Alexi ever since he ran for treasurer, I knew the guy was no good.

If Hoffman had won the primary he'd be ahead of Kirk by 20 points. At some point someone has to arise to through the combiners out and I am hoping Blago gets off so he can attack the dems of the combine, we just need a solid conservative like Aaron Schock who is young and has no ties to the combine.

I disagree. There is a difference and party pressure will keep Kirk somewhat in line, while obami pressure on alexi guarantees a dumbocrap vote EVERY TIME and that is the difference.

I agreee he is no conservative, and I would really have liked another candidate, but he is NOT a democratic automatic vote. I’d rather have him than alexi who certainly is left of him and a guaranteed obami vote. In 6 years, we should try not have 7 GD candidates on the primary ballot, just a death wish as it was this year.

You’re presuming Alexi will serve out 6 years. He won’t. I expect he will be indicted and convicted before long, a far worse embarrassment for the Democrats. Gov. Brady will then appoint a respectable and honest Republican (and it won’t be Kirk). If Kirk is elected, expect a reliable liberal vote to appease Zero (they’re from the same political outfit) and an enormous source of embarrassment to us, culminating with a switch to the Democrat party for a payoff. Bank on it. No, Kirk is too dangerous to allow to win office as a Republican. He’s a chronic liar, sociopath, and his newest lie was about covering up his attempted suicide in Lake Michigan. I’d rather keep Roland Burris over this wackjob.

That primary election was fixed and all serious threats to Kirk were eliminated via threats. The Combine saw to that. You presume again you had a choice, you didn’t.

I’m with you, I will not be voting for Alexi, although I am going to Greek town for lunch on Saturday, maybe I’ll run into Al Capone’s Greek counterpart :)

What part exactly is “nonsense” ? I don’t think you have the faintest notion whom or what Mark Kirk is, and if you think his Republican “loyalty” is worth anything, I have a bridge across Lake Michigan I’d like to sell you.

BTW, where have you been in the discussions of IL politics over the years ? I haven’t seen you in the threads.

Reading your theories makes me think you are an idiot. You would rather see Alexi win? You are foolish. BTW, didn’t know that you “owned” a thread on Illinois politics.

Obviously, one thing is clear, you have not a single clue about Illinois politics beyond your shockingly ignorant one-dimensional thinking (either that, or you’re just another R-wing Combiner hack polluting the internet). Come back when you can have a mature discussion on the political scene. The rest of us in this thread have years of experience on the subject and don’t have our heads up our butts.

You certainly have yours stuck up there. You don’t have a clue about what goes on.

I’m very serious. In 2008, Sen. Durbin got 67%, and then-Sen. Obama got 62%, in Illinois. Instead of using polls, to predict elections, I use previous electiion results. Each poll considers 400-500 people, but Illinois has about five million voters.

You were incorrect when you said, “party pressure will keep Kirk somewhat in line.” According to www.vote-smart.org, these are some of Rep. Kirk’s latest interest group ratings: Planned Parenthood, 100%; NEA, A; Americans for Democratic Action, 55%; AFL-CIO, 47%; American Conservative Union, 48%; Club for Growth, 42%; National Taxpayers Union, C-; Citizens Against Government Waste, 33%; John Birch Society, 25%; Concerned Women of America, 23%; and Gun Owners of America, F-. If party presure didn’t keep Kirk in line, during the past nine years, we shouldn’t think that party pressure will cause Kirk to vote with Republicans, in the future.

Yet you’re the one serving as a Kirk apologist on this thread, a sociopath Socialist Combiner... on a Conservative website. Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

DJ knows more about Illinois politics than I do and I worked for an Illinois Congresswoman in the local office and I also worked on her campaign after I left the district office.

Mark Kirk is a loser liberal straight from hell. He said he would vote for Elena Kagan, the most unqualified person in the history of the Supreme Court.

I don't know where you have been but we have been discussing Mark Kirk since February on both threads and the Illinois forum.

Please don't try and act like you are God almighty. I have worked in the system here in Illinois and I can tell you everything that DJ says is 100% accurate.

Both parties are absolutely corrupt in this state and work in cohoots. The only person besides Brady that I'm rooting for is Blago because I know he is going to go after Mike Madigan and the rest of the combine guns blazing.

Mark Kirk will win in my opinion others disagree with me. However, don't rewrite history to make Mark Kirk into a conservative when he is trying to run to the left of Giannulious. It is disgusting and even combiners are shocked.
