This freep is still dazed, as he attended all 5 days of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion which just finished. A key part of that is the Concours d'Elegance --the biggest and most fancy in all the world.
My photos are from all over the different recent gatherings on the Peninsula; the YouTube slide music video link below represents about 2% or so of my photos; I took over 2,000 of them..!
I might make another couple videos in the near future after I get over my sunburn and get some rest. I'll just lay down some track and blast the photos out with no fancy distractions --I know what we all want...
Enjoy...! Please note I'm advertising NOTHING, and I'm a longtime freep...
I will have a special look of the Porsche 918 Spyder (1 only in the whole world so far, but it will soon enter production). I was right next to it as it drove up, and there was complete pandimonium.
I also got to meet Ahhhhnold and Jay Leno, who were standing right there.
Tell your gearHead car buddies, too:
Monterey Hot Rods & Classic Show Cars Galore
I usually go every year but I was too tied up this time.
Great looking cars! If our economy continues on it’s present slide our street cars will resemble those of Cuba.
I saw a neighbor down the street just got a Porsche Carerra GT aka 980. He is a Repub.
It was totally off the hook —getting bigger all the time.
This time I stuck around late downtown for the live auctioning, and it was craaaaazy..! The chicks wore little clothing, the auctioneers were going with that crazy talk and engines revving everywhere (they have to drive up the little hill into the Marriott showroom as they are sold).
SUPER FUN...! I had a camera that had good low-light performance so I’ll make some YouTube vids of that, too.
I will be going to the night auctions also from now on.
I’ll have to make it a must-do for next year.
Thanks for the vids!
I went in 2008. A must for every automobile buff.
Aaarg! Sensory overload! Love the slideshow.
A socially liberal class-envying Tibetan Buddhist who whines about having to work at a car show on an island. Ok.
