Thanks. Learn something every day.
(When yer young it’s something NEW every day)...
Aren’t Kodiak Island Grizzlies supposed to be the largest (that is until they prove the existence of the legendary short nosed giant bear in Kamchatka, Russia) bears on earth? Mind you, the polar bears I’ve seen in zoos are huge and those in the wild are no doubt larger still, so you could be right.
Untrue, if you can unlimber it before the polar bear is on you. Once a bear has hold of you or taking swats at you, it doesn't much matter what kind of gun you have. A 12 gauge slug will take down any ground animal we have on the planet if its within 75 yards.
Skip the trip flares, use claymores instead
Gettin’ way too serious here.
That might be absolutely accurate. I'm not trying to portray myself as any kind of authority. I just know what Animal Planet tells me. I do remember reading or watching something on the enormity of those Kodiak Island bears. They're huge.
“it was hungry”
Awww! Poor ickle bear got all hungry dragging that thick fur coat around.
Skinning does cure Bad Bruin Behavior (BBB) in every case where it has been applied.
;-)
In 1960 in Kotzebue, Alaska a Polar Bear was killed weighing 2,210 lbs and was 11’11” long/tall.
Too serious? We have some serious bear threads here historically, you might like this one.
Bears are no joke, Kenowa, a Freeper who we talked with BEFORE his vacation , then went out and was attacked by one. You will see the result:

just not as a food source i.e. cannibalism>>>>>>>>>
Not yet. When all the welfare programs go bust, and no more food stamps, there may be a lot of community service snackers looking! The ultimate dissolution of civilization.
Ain’t nothin’ right about it.
