Where was I when “embarassment to Congress” was a valid reason for ignoring a law?

So what they might be saying is that it’s more important to put his very life on the line, rather than embarass a politician?

“embarrassment to Congress”

It is obviously not law. It is an opinion. It is a trigger phrase, a very good reason to appeal a case. It is the phrase that will be used to get it to the SCOTUS.

Dad says that the military court is a federal court and as such may be appealed to SCOTUS.
