"2.5 Million Shovel-Ready Jobs..."
FreeRepublic ^ | September 8, 2010 | Gargantua

Does anybody remember back when psuedo-President Obama was on one of the first of his now-several-dozen educational info-deception speech tours touting the $780-Billion "Stimulus" package? This is the one that followed the TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) deception.

Though I make a concerted point to never visit this "lies-as-disinformation" site, Wikipedia's description of TARP actually starts much as did the description we were being sold at its inception: "The Troubled Asset Relief Program, commonly referred to as TARP or RCP, is a program of the United States government to purchase assets and equity from financial institutions to strengthen its financial sector..."

In short, TARP funds were going to be used to purchase bad, underwater real properties from the financial institutions which held the paper on them to restore both cash into the fianancial system and confidence into our marketplace. The problem is, the funds were perforce not used for this promised goal. Exactly where these purloined hunderds-of-billions ended up is pretty much anybody's guess, but one thing we know: they were not used to buy bad housing paper. Maybe Andy Stern or Bertha Lewis could tell us where much of it went.

So out the door goes the first $800-Billion. Next we have the Teleprompter-In-Cheif telling us that another $780-Billion is needed to rapidly create 2.5 million "shovel-ready" jobs, restoring our infrastructure, shoring up the "middle class," and injecting much-needed useable capital into our lagging consumer sector.

States used their portions of it to cover debts; teachers' salaries, firemen, policemen, etc. Unions sucked up gouts of it to cover pension obligations. Well over $300-Billion of it still sits unused in "Obama's Stash." All of which only clouds the real issue:

Where are the 2.5 million "shovel-ready" jobs that Obama promised as the justification for this financial fiasco in the first place?

Just like when this farce of a president had the CBO cook the books so that the Obamacare ledger showed that it would only cost us "less than $800-billion," only to be currently corrected upward (now that the bill has been jammed down our gullets) to over $1.2 Trillion... and notwithstanding that the CBO's track record of projecting out the eventual cost of these gargantuan government programs usually misses the actual mark by a factor of 10...

We were completely "had" by this lying pig of a fake president, and now he's at it again. He has another "feel good" gout of your great grandchildrens' wages he has a wonderful reason to convince us we should applaud his spending for... wait for it...

...rebuilding our infrastructure and providing thousands upon thousands of new jobs! Who writes his speeches? He should fire whoever it is, because we've heard this one before, and it was a total butt-reaming.

Before he gets away with slipping this one by us as if we were too stupid to remember the last few, somebody should remind him that we're still waiting to see the 2.5 million shovel-ready jobs from the last almost a Trillion Dollars of debt he's already shoveled onto our progeny with none of his promised results to show for it.

In fact, if this new scheme is such a sure-fire winner, why doesn't Imam Obongo take $200-Billion out of the over $300-Billion in unspent "Stimulus Package" funds he probably hopes to use to buy slipping Democratic House seats in 2010 and 2012? That's it. No more. He thinks we're stupid enough to fall for it again. And again. It's time we let him know, the game is over. Epic Fail. He blew it.

He has to be more stupid than the drooling mouth-breathers who still swoon in his presence if he thinks we're going to fall for this one again.

I believe there may be some shovel-ready jobs coming up soon tending the 200 Koran fire. Might be rakes, though, not shovels.

"2.5 Million Shovel-Ready Jobs..."

I used a little green shovel on the cat box tonight. Does that count?

--------------------------

Obama in his Milwaukee address gave a tired speech, all heard before. We're going to have to call a tow truck for that car - it's beat and broken beyond recognition by Mr. Blame-Someone-Else.

It takes guts to steal $1 trillion. No one can account for where it went or what good it did. Add to that, more people are broke and jobless now, and they're trying to steal even more. I've never seen anything like this in my life.

He lies about every detail that slithers out of his mouth. The form, substance, background, data, interpretation and meaning of every detail. He lies about his birth, his associates, his appointees, his policies, his activities, his thoughts, his family, everything. It's as if he can't speak a word without turning it into a dozen lies. Does anybody truly believe he has been a citizen from birth. Does anybody truly believe that he rejects the venom of Wright, Ayers, Jones, and hundreds of others, including his own spouse? Does anybody truly believe that he loves this country and wants the best for its people?

It's impossible to believe that this nightmare is happening by accident.

There can be no doubt that what Obama seeks is to overthrow the Constitutional Republic that we have enjoyed for the past 230+ years.

Look at what we have become in 18 months.

He must be thrilled. Time for some hoops. Up yours America.

Liar = Obama.

Cheater = Feds.

Thief = Congress.

Con artist = Piss-Stream Media.

If we do not get this man out of office through impeachment as soon as possible, we might not have a nation by the time 2012 comes around.

A very deeply constructionist, Christian friend and I were discussing this very thing last night... it's partly why I wrote this rant. My friend, who is anything but ignorant, was very worried that, despite our Sleeping Giant having now awakened, did it awaken too late to alter the inevitable? This was his question, and it was sincere, and it was justified, because we are in one big, sour pickle right now.

But, like I told him, for as long as we Partiots draw breath, and know right from wrong, and are willing to fight for the very best that this broken world has yet to offer, it ain't over. Not by a damn sight.

Have a great day!

"he does think we are stupid. they all do."

I've been posting here with you for going on eleven years now, D. Remember back when we thought Clinton was an assh*le? Did you ever, back then, think it would have to get this bad before people actually did something about it?

In one sense, Hussein has a right to think us this dumb, because he is in the White House. But he isn't president, and he's wrong about alot of us. We aren't particularly stupid, nor is it smart to ignore us and just pretend we're not here.

For all of his media-aided successes, O'Boongo isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, and we will be his undoing. The imbecile actually did us a favor. Now they can't even boil the frog slowly any more.

This kitchen is getting shut down.

Hey, we have to also count the shoveling job he does every time he sees a microphone. And then there's the millions of Americans who have to shovel out of the sh*t he piles everywhere while he's using that mic. I guess he really has created all those "shovel-ready" jobs, he just didn't need a trillion bucks to do it. He just needed a mic.

LOL

Tell Petraeus that those silly diaper-heads want to kill our troops already. Just like in the movie, "Seargent York," where Jimmy Stewart does that turkey call to get the krauts to peek up out of the trench so he can pick 'em off, that's what this Qur'an burning will do.

When they poke their diaper-heads up to get our soldiers because we burned this literary toilet paper, tell the troops to be ready, and just pick 'em off one at a time!

I don't know why we didn't try this sooner.

:-)

Remind your friend that believers have a very powerful Friend on their side. He tends to take care of His own, even when His own can accurately be classified as a remnant. He works in mysterious ways. Trust in Him.

I don't remember ever seeing even one of those "shovel-ready jobs" being reported in the news. While I don't doubt that at least a few were created, I can't ever remember seeing even one reported on, anywhere.

And we sure as hell didn't get any 2.5 million jobs out of it!

take a look around...he still has poll numbers when he should have 0 favorable. I knew we were in trouble when I said “good day “ to a democrat friend of mine and she replied “Bush is stupid”. That was just after 911. Now all she does is repeat that quote..Something is bad wrong with Democrats in this country.
