to do the right thing,
to show the way,
to shine the light of God in the world.
to be the image of Christ in the world.
to spread the Gospel.
all in Jesus name, amen
You assume there is some 'truth' that they know, and you don't?
Of course, we 'know' the truth, but it sometimes takes someone else saying it to us, for us to accept it. I find that odd.
I was just about to post something along the same lines. I recently heard this perspective on the “Give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s”. The Bible teaches that everything in the earth is God’s, therefore nothing really *belongs* to Caesar.
If you think about it, Jesus’ answer was brilliant.
well, my articles aren’t getting deleted, they are just removed from breaking (and some are legitimate “breaking news”)
But at any rate, it just hurts my feelings and I think I’m being picked on LOL....hahahah This is only my 1st or 2nd vanity and I forgot to put “vanity” in the headline...
Been here 5 years....so I’m not a troll and I post comments all the time....
Thank you for the info :0)
True. The Jews were responsible for having Jesus crucified. Which is a good thing, because there wouldn't be a NEW TESTAMENT if they hadn't.
5 years just 5 years and I was too embarrassed that I didn’t know to even ask....
and I tend to like trolls....it’s so much fun to watch freepers beat up on them and I like to throw in a couple of punches myself...I’m always bummed when they’re zotted before we’re through with them...
Besides it happens to me when I go on liberal sites and it’s not very nice LOL....
I found the a site where you can see the coin and the inscription. Scroll to the bottom of the coin.

Well, for a vanity, your thread seems to be growing pretty quickly, and is producing some good comments.
You should be proud.
To answer your original question,
If you , as a Christian, want to go into politics, do so.
If no Christians try to enter politics, politicians will all be non-Christians. It’s already trending that way, and look what has happened to our nation.
One CANDLE can light an entire room full of darkness.
So I usually check out the daily 'War Porn' thread and feel much better after seeing a bunch of terrorist blown to bits.
Have a great day Mum.

it’s only because I spammed the Breaking news page. But thanks hahahahah
Lots and lots of good info here....I’m even gonna print the pages out for reference....
It’s so good to learn and get other points of view...
Excellent post!
Brilliant response.
"Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
2Therefore he who resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
3For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same;
4for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil," (Rom. 13:1-4).
I really don’t know what your point was exactly. It would be my hope that all true ministers of the Christian gospel would tell us the truth and not just the stuff we want to hear. Obviously, I know that not all churches teach or preach the hard sayings - that God is not just a God of love but a God of holiness. That there is both Law AND Gospel. You can’t have Gospel only but you can’t have Law only preached either.
So, if you want to clarify, please do.
There are several examples of Jesus offering harsh rebuke to people in the Bible. Perhaps the passage whereby he overturns tables in the Temple square and shouts at merchants that they should not be selling things in his Father’s house is the most dramatic. In another passage, he harshly says to an apostle, “Go away, Satan!” just because the apostle makes a naive statement. (I’m no scholar and am paraphrasing the above, sorry.)
So it is not true that Jesus was some kind of wishy washy “let’s all just get along” kind of guy. When people were committing acts of sin or were erroneous in their thinking, he called them on the carpet and he did not mince words!
Yep... that’s an old (but still great and relevant) saying.
