Enough computer for 80% of computer users

Who cares? A Honda Civic is enough car for most drivers, but only the eco-weenie libs complain when people get something bigger and better.

Go back, enjoy living with your ghetto machines that suck far more power than they need to (thus needlessly increasing your electric bill). Leave the intelligent, discerning civilized world in peace.

Macs are the real ghetto machines because their ill educated buyers are paying double and triple for their computer bling. Macs are the equivalent of getting grills put in your teeth. Flashy and useless

A fool and his money are soon parted

Look at the below very highly-rated PC case. It has useless LEDs just like idiots put on their cars. The Mac has one LED, to tell you the webcam is on. This has plastic all over the metal frame that serves no purpose but looks. The Mac has no fake plastic facade, just a useful aluminum frame. This has pointless clear plastic on the side. A fool and his money indeed.

This is bling.

Point out the non-functional bling here:

I'll give you a hint. There's one. The small logo on front, like every OEM has. However, the logo on back actually has function, holding the WiFi antenna.

I can tell your drooling over this beast box. You are sick of that phony industrial chic, brushed Aluminum look.

Interesting. They tried to take the mesh design from the Mac Pro, then blew it with LEDs and windows to the inside. Do those things sticking out of the front serve any purpose? And what's with the legacy/cheap panels? Half-height designed for 80s 5 1/4" drives? They do make half-inch and slot-loading DVD drives these days you know. Three is a bit overkill too, most people use one, maybe two. What's with the panel for a floppy port? Retro, but not in a good way. I haven't used one of those in over five years, even on PCs. They've been supplanted by USB sticks and DVD drives in all but the most esoteric of situations. I can't even fit one photo from my cell phone on a 3.5" disk, and they think I'm going to put one in my PC?

Not exactly something to drool over. It's too high-end for you anyway, costing $100. This is more your style for $15:

______________

As far as $15 cases....... They do the trick. Though I have quite a few great cases so need to buy any. So my cases are free for the time being

This case has everything so they gratuitously included a floppy port...whatever that is. Probably can put a hard drive in that floppy port/
It is superior to any Mac case.

We all know what wannabe artistes and snobs the Mac buyers are. That brushed aluminum is what spirits them off to the higher realms of ecstasy...... LEDs are just so declasse

Yeah, and modern cars come with a hand crank just in case you might want it. It's the same legacy attitude as motherboards that still have parallel ports. We're ten years into this century, so act like it. We're at the point now where normal systems shouldn't come with it, that specialty retro cases are the only ones that should.

Probably can put a hard drive in that floppy port

In a tower computer I'd rather put a hard drive into a hard drive bay, preferably make it easy to do. You know, like how easy it is to put one in a Mac Pro:

Here's a good deal on an older Mac Pro PSU: $248. Not sure it could handle the moder 12-core beast though.

iMac power supplies (not from Apple) are a lot more than $34 too.

  1. This is why I call Apple "the home of the 99 dollar DVD (read/write) drive"
  2. At $248 you better hope your P/S doesn't byte the dust
  3. That 980 watt P/S....... In the PC world only an extreme gamer with two power hogging video cards and a power hog CPU would need such a large power supply. Others too I suppose but mostly gamers
