Before declaring an enclosure catproof, it’s best to check with the cat.

Yes! Even if you have to interview all 100 cats, it’s worth it to avoid such humiliation. You’d think a cat wrangler would know that!

I thought that too! They seemed screened for advertising purposes.

We use alot of Ikea stuff for our office, and our kids use it alot (because they tear up).

We used to have nice furniture, we used to shop at Ethen Allen, but then we had kids....

We’ve purchased that Sauder stuff from the various Big Box stores and it doesn’t last at all, but we’ve actually been impressed with the IKEA stuff. Seems well built for the price, but then again, you get what you pay for.

I actually did our basement light fixtures (they needed upgrading after 20 years) in IKEA lighting. Stylish, reasonably priced, couldn’t go wrong, and the wife loves the towels and kitchenware from there. She used to do Crate and Barrel, but found the IKEA stuff much better quality at half the price.

Just our observations. But yeah, when the kids finally all head out to college, and we downsize our home, our plans are to purchase all new furnishings, the kind that will last us the rest of our existence. IKEA will not fit that bill I’m sure.

That was totally cool. Don’t watch TV and never saw the show, so thanks for the link.

Its actually a really good show. Its on the Discovery Channel.

Basically, lots of science mixed in with a bunch of explosions and stunts. Its primary hosts (the three from the clip are the “B” team) are a couple of ex-movie special effects guys ... and they scientifically test (or attempt to) various myths from movies, popular beliefs, or internet rumors.

I highly recommend it. It is entertaining, and educational ... though not entirely acceptable for some children — some of the myths can be a bit gruesome (i.e. can you shatter a frozen head? Can tornado-propelled glass behead someone?).

Kinda like our grand experiment letting a complete incompetent person loose in the White House.

Thanks. It’s available on Amazon, so I sent the link to my DVD buyer (Hubby) with a “suggestion” that I’d like to try it, LOL!
