Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair (R) chats with former U.S. President Bill Clinton after receiving the Liberty Medal at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, September 13, 2010. The Liberty Medal is awarded annually to honor men and women of courage and conviction who strive to secure the blessings of liberty to people around the globe.
Tony certainly deserves it...but I’m wondering why Bubba is passing it out rather than Obie.
Creepy looking fingers. And I won’t mention his nose....it looks like....
Bubba and Bush got it in 2006.
Bill’s lookin old.
I can appreciate skillful politicians and even if one is a lib, I can appreciate a sharp mind.
But I’ve always found Clinton a big bore. I’d listen to his aw-shucks I’m just a good Southern boy crap, and think, “Who’s buying this?”
Never said anything interesting, just sparkling nothingness that appeals to those who already share his beliefs, and is forgotten a moment later. He could manipulate, and he was lucky to have a spoiler running both times to let him slip by without breaking 50%. He talks the jargon that gets Chris Matthews and his bunch all excited. But I don’t think he’s going to be respected once those who liked him have disappeared. Not much to show for him being on the scene.
That’s easy. Blair was friendly with G.W. Bush and backed the invasion of Iraq. He’s also a Christian and a Brit, which makes him a bad guy to the Kenyan Muslim sympathizer.
Interestingly, I was watching Red Eye, I think, and they were discussing the speaking difference between Chris Christie and Clinton and how they are both hailed as great speakers.
But the big difference between the 2, is that when Clinton speaks, people don’t remember what was said, they just remember it was well spoken.
When Christie speaks, people remember what was said, as well as how well it was spoken.
Bubba is so full of crap, it’s no wonder people don’t remember his BS.
true, true... an empty shell... do any of his speeches as President even stand out? any quotes? are there any other than the Lewinski, "that woman," quote?
That’s interesting. Someone posted a video of Christie, the first time I’ve seen him give a long response on something, and I can recall so much of what he said from memory—about how he criticized the teacher’s union leadership, not teachers, and how they’d sent out a note to pray for his death, and how Corzine had spent all the fed money that was meant to be left for subsequent years.
Just like that, I recalled all that right now.
I can’t think of any policy speech Clinton ever made that was anything but bullsht, and I knew it, and I knew HE knew it, too. Slick is right.
Clintons fingers and hands are disfigured from rheumatisms and possibly other parts of his body are too.
I have noticed this disfigurement over the years, which have become worse and worse.
I hope he is in a lot of pain since he created a lot of pain for many of us.
The photo in post #2 shows an almost natural hand. It is not.
They are gnarled.
“I may not have been the greatest president, but I’ve had the most fun eight years.” Bill Clinton
At least the guy seemed to like his country, even if he was a libtard. I’d take him back any day over the creep we have in office.
"'Scuse me, Tony but I see me a pair of bo-day-cious ta-tas in the third row. Man, would I like a shot at that! How soon does thing wrap up?"
That’s all I can come up with, his finger-wagging moment. My response when he said “I want you to listen to me” was unprintable on FR.
“Depends on what ‘is’ is”.
I look at those fingers and regret that the world lost a potentially superb piano player in a honky-tonk bar when he decided to go into politics.
You mean a piano player in some whore house in New Orleans.
