Two high-ranking officers - one the captain of a Navy missile submarine - have been relieved of their commands at the Navy's nuclear submarine base at Bangor, Washington.

. . . . and I really want to know the details.
Not submarine ops.
No one but these two disciplined.
The Ohio Captain and the CO of the Trident Training Facility.
What sort of 'unbecoming conduct' took place?
In news releases, the Navy said both actions were taken after the higher commanders lost confidence in Gero and Solms because of inappropriate personal behavior.
Since sodomy is no longer considered “inappropriate”, what did they do, have heterosexual intercourse?
They probably questioned Barry the Bastard’s bonifides ... you can expect executions to follow.
Thanks for posting, my son is stationed there. USCG MFPU Bangor.

Captain of the Ohio is a very very serious job. Can’t imagine what it was that wasnt known previously. Aren’t these guys analyzed and mega vetted, i mean the guy has more firepower under him than any human in history doesnt he?

A silo that shouldn’t have been loaded?

Either that or about women in submarines.
This is an SSGN, an denuked Trident class submarine. It's mission is carrying tomahawks and infiltrating seals. It is an important job, but the ship can no longer blow up the whole world.
seals = SEALS.
I don’t regard that as a very reliable source.
First time I’d ever gone to that site. Now I’ll have to Lysol my keyboard...
I wouldn't either. Much to Stormfront's disappointment, I don't believe there's deeply-entrenched white nationalism/anti-Isreali sentiments in the upper chains of command.
As far as this CO is concerned, speculation is all we have. Certainly the officers on his boat know what happened (and probably the enlisted as well). Militarycorruption.com has nothing and neither does the Navy Times forum so at this point, everyone's being tight lipped about it.
We do know that it is very easy to get canned as a CO and I know from my own eyes that O-5s and O-6s are not above engaging in boneheaded, career-ending lapses of judgement.
Links to that website aren’t welcome here.

Don’t know if this is par for the course or if this represents a significant increase but it seems as though the integration of female personnel into the fleet is not going as smoothly as we may have been led to believe.
