Where's some of the best pie in America?

In Fort Worth, according to the October issue of Bon Appétit magazine, which finally came around to what many of us have long known: The top-heavy meringue chocolate and coconut pies from Mike and Ginger Smith's Paris Coffee Shop on Magnolia Avenue will convert even the fussiest food snob.

There also used to be a great place in Fate Tx.
But the old ladys that made those pies retired and sold the cafe.

I’ve never tried this location but there is a place called Mamaw’s Fried Pies in Whitehouse, Tx that is supposed to have very good desserts also. It’s located on SH 110 a few miles SE of Tyler, Tx.
