2 weeks after her primary victory, zero new O'Donnell polls anywhere. (why?)
(vanity)

Posted on 10/02/2010 9:40:37 AM PDT by Cringing Negativism Network

OK, this is now starting to seem a bit suspicious.

Since almost immediately after her resounding primary victory, there have been no more recent Delaware Senate polls from (any) polling outfit I can find. Real Clear Politics' most recent is from the 18th of last month.

That's the most recent. Several are 3 weeks old now.

Ras has nothing -- just one "if the guy she beat runs independent, this is what happens" update he ran, about a week ago.

Yet. Dems still seem quite focused and serious, that she must be defeated. There's a (lot) of Saul Alinsky going on, against her right now.

This morning I searched pretty extensively.

It's like there's a blackout, on Delaware polling data.

This makes me suspect, O'Donnell is actually doing well. The Dem and GOP establishments both are aligned against her.

If there were recent polls which were helpful to their juggernaut of whining against her - seems likely we'd be hearing about them.

Any thoughts?

Any polling data?...

:) Thanks.

When a poll show’s a 15% + margin, they stop polling and drop it in the “safe dem” bucket.

With 435 House seats to poll, they focus on the “close” ones.

I hope she jumps up and kicks their butt!

It is odd. This is one of the the most-watched races in the country, if not THE most-watched race, so you would think there would be polls all over the place. I would think the candidates and parties would be doing internal polling as well. If OD was doing well, you would think at least some internal polls would leak to encourage supporters and give them the feel of momentum going their way. If the polls show OD doing poorly, you would think the MSM would be all over that.

Of course the parties and candidates are doing internal polling. They just aren’t releasing to the public.

O’Donnell had announced that she wasn’t going to do anymore national media appearances. And since the liberals at MSNBC and everywhere decided she is a joke, maybe they are confident of her losing, and not thinking about her anymore???

I suspect the race is a lot closer than the last poll showed, but for whatever reason, neither side wants to release any polls now.

There are 3 polls on RCP showing O’Donnell getting crushed:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2010/senate/de/delaware_senate_oadonnell_vs_coons-1670.html

CNN/Time has Coons up by 16
Ras has Coons up by 15
PPP has Coons up by 16

She is doing about as bad as expected by political strategists in both parties.

Thankfully, we have some opportunities in other states to make up for this race.

I would imagine that she’s pretty far down right now, so the lack of polls don’t bother me. The ghastly hit she took from Pudge Rove had to take a terrific toll. Plus, the leftwing media had continued to slaughter her.

That said, I’m not too terribly alarmed at this point. With some good, hard-nosed political consultants at her side, she can pull this thing off. If her friends are watching this, tell her to bring on Mark Lloyd for grassroots organizing and David Clementson for press. Private email me and I’ll provide contact info and background on the two.

I’ve also read that COD has made herself fairly scarce recently. Hopefully that’s because she is in intensive training for the remainder of the campaign. If so, smart move,

I haven't seen anything more recent. Someone mentioned seeing her down by only single digits on another thread, but I've not seen that poll. I am not very optimistic about this race, but maybe newer numbers will be better.

Must mean she’s winning.

They tried the ol beat her down thing, it’s not going to work.

Odds of victory right now at intrade are 10%. She was at 15% a couple of days ago. She had been as high as 25%. Not good.

That only means nobody has any data. People are basing their intrades - on the media spin, at the moment.

There are no polls out there.

None.

She had closed the gap to 9 points at the beginning of this week.

I think that you may be right in thinking that she's doing quite well and that might be the reason they're not reporting on her. I had the same thought and I suspect that is things really go south for her, we'll know about it.

The undecided vote is the key. Morris makes a good point about them. When they break it is always for the one they are not familiar with. Otherwise they wouldn’t be undecided in the first place.

I think that was the Rasmussen poll?

That was an update - the effect of a three person race.

I don’t believe there was any other new poll last Monday, other than that Ras update?

The RCP polls are all over two weeks old, and one is at three weeks.

Unless someone is paying for new polls, there are no current polls ~ no valid polls ~ no polls.

Many candidates run their campaigns without polls!

If the polls show OD doing poorly, you would think the MSM would be all over that.

The Dems don't want any polls that will contradict the results that they will manufacture. The Dems CAN NOT afford to lose this, so they will not allow O'Donnell to win.
