Two of my favorites are the late basketball player Baskerville Holmes and the current female player Latrina Woods.

Worst name ever for a new student in my class: Elfago. His middle name was Jose. I introduced him to my middle school class as “E. J.” and he was happy with that.

Actually he was probably named for a famous/infamous lawyer, lawman, and politican named Elfego Baca who lived in the closing days of the American West. Born in New Mexico in 1865, he was famous enough for Walt Disney to make a TV miniseries about him in 1958 called The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca. It was later made into a movie.

How do you know that Asfunzo doesn't mean Bean Counter Has Toilet Paper For Brains And Uses It Both Places?

Would it be as funny then?

Would your name sound funny to Asfunzo's family?

I have seen a few white kids get named with the Lashondra tags.

Catholic and Christian families traditionally named their kids after Saints/Bible Heroes.

I don’t know if they still do that.

My uncle had a friend named Harry Pitts.
Hadn’t thought of him in years, may he and my uncle rest in peace.

Yes, I’ve heard the name many times. I mentioned it because of how it sounds to western ears.

In her case it was a nickname or endearment. Her character's name was Eunice Wentworth Howell.
