Contrary to a previous IBD prediction, Connecticut GOP Senate candidate Linda McMahon did not catch Democrat Richard Blumenthal by late September. While a Quinnipiac poll last week showed the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) narrowing the state Attorney Generals lead to three points, three new polls give Blumenthal leads of 7, 10 and 12. Worse for McMahon, Blumenthal is polling above 50% in all three. McMahon has been hitting Blumenthal in recent weeks for distorting his Vietnam record. That may be backfiring.
These polls are a blow for Republican hopes to retake the Senate.

Apparently, liars are preferred by the morons in this state.
She needs to go back and have a look at the video of Blumenthal on Glenn Beck’s show. Beck shredded him like a pack of pitbulls fighting over a poodle.
The Vietnam thing came and went. Old news to hit him on. This guys record is terrible which should be the focus. I think the pseudo Repub McMahon is not a good candidate if she will not hit back harder on the issues.
he got totally owned on the question, how do you create jobs
Her association with WWE is probably hurting her.
More propapganda...
Why is CT a “blow” for Republicans? This was never on the map and is only considered a bonus. The “blow” is that CT, WV, NY, etc are even in play.
And I still say McMahon wins.
He gave her plenty of new material last night . My favorite was when she asked him how jobs were created.
You must be kidding. Can we get a giant saw and cut Connecticut off from the continental US and set it adrift? What the hell is wrong with Northeasterners? If they want a Senator who would trample the sensititivies of veterans, to say nothing about trampling the truth, then they deserve the kind of low rent representation they'll get in the Senate from a low rent thug like Blumenthal who was rated the 2nd worst state attorney general in the nation.
This race isn’t over, but it was always going to be tough for McMahon - Brack beat McCain in Connecticut 61% to 38%. If McMahon can hold her lead with men and convince some of those “independent” women to swing her way, she has a chance.
sort of like how the D’s are obsessed with O’Donnell....and keep reminding everyone of how she is not a serious candidate...again and again and again and again...
I was wondering the same thing. I guess a state can secede from the union, but is there a way for the rest of us to vote a state out?
Vermont, CT, and most of all, California would be my candidates for blackballing.
No kidding...anyone so stupid to still vote for a democrat--especially this election--is beyond comprehension.
Like Rush said today, today's batch of democrats are hugo chavez/fidel castro liberals, not your usual JFK democrats.
Evil...pure and simple.
I’m in California. Let’s give it one more chance. If we dump Barbara Boxer, then let the state remain in the union. If they re-elect that wretch and put the doddering old fool Jerry Brown in, then I say nuke the place. Just give me 24 hours to get out of dodge.

She only needs to stick to his voting record and stick to the issues.
Deal.
No time for lack of spine, guts, and fortitude. Go for their jugular.
I think people are sick at others pointing out character flaws this election. If McMahon wants to win she’s going to have to stick to issues.
What's ironic is, the bad guys would take out the bluest counties first: Gay Bay, La-La, Bahstin, New York, Miammuh, and Rizzo's Philly. And Chicago and DC, of course.
Think about it.
Treasure up the national archives, Library of Congress, and museums in Blue Ridge cave complexes, and just wait for it.
