More important than that...a re-used case has expanded to the bore in which it is fired. After that expansion has taken place, no energy is lost when the shell ignites during future usage. It is only with these casings that sighting-in should begin.

Of course, only bolt action rifles are able to advantage of this property as magazine fed shell casings need to be re-sized prior to reloading, eliminating the custom fit.

5.56 - 1000 rounds per case sealed in 5 200 round PVC waterproof battle packs. $300 or about half your price.

Of course you could up grade and go with a higher power cartridge ;)
7.26x54r $89 for 440 round in sealed can. Works great in my SVD.

9mm and .45 I get from Wally World. $8 and $14 respectivley for 50 round boxes of Federal or Winchester. Good stuff. I have about 4000 rounds of Federal .45 sitting in cans right now.

I purchased significantly more than that last year, and not just because the marxist won the election, but due to seeing gas and food shortages in the southeast after supply line disruptions drove home the necessity of someday having to fend for myself.

The marxists have convinced me that my purchases were in no way a waste of money, but a very necessary investment. In no way would I ever consider getting rid of my purchases, nor do I feel embarrassed about it in any way, shape of form.

Those really were good times. We only had to worry about Clinton and his crowd, sunspots were peaking and the ham bands were open. Former Soviet/Chicom rifles were less than $100US each and ammo was so cheap that the mailman/delivery guy hated me.

Who didn't buy a handful of well-made SKS's and AKSs ?(only idiots bought the stamped ones)

Today, we have an incompetent in the White House (incompetent at EVERYTHING. He can't even screw up right). Ammo is expensive. American weapons (Old M1s from Korea) aren't allowed to be sold in the US by the CMP guys. And the sunspots are late or no-shows.

Life could get better.

Thanks for further clarification. Yes, I always do when reloading for semi auto but 9 times out of 10 I’m reloading for bolt action rifles Remington 700, Ruger M77 etc...

Reload, reload, and reload. Wolf ammo has had some pretty hard primers. Military weapons can handle them, but some, like my Mini-30 required a replacement heavier firing pin spring.

I lost it all in the boating accident. Along with the rest of my gear.

You got hit by that rogue wave somewhere off NJ too, eh? I lost my guns, ammo and my lucky bait bucket.

I really miss that bucket.....

I’ve been happy with Cabelas for .223 & 5.56. One thing I like is the number of reviews on each brand. Some useful info.

I got some Eagle .223 FMJ for $6.50 / 20 and some Remington 5.56 FMJ for $7.99 / 20........with $5 shipping.

Still get my .22 LR HP at Wally World for $18 a brick.

In my humble opinion, things are going to get worse before they get better. An armed man is a free man.

I assume the cheap rounds that were a problem were Remington?

Good points. I see everybody talking about stocking up on ammo, but I don’t see anybody stocking up on bandages.

Bullets, bandages, they go together. Of course, maybe that’s just the old field medic in me saying that.

Yup, I totally agree.

An armed man is a citizen of the country in which he lives.
An unarmed man is merely a subject of the country in which he lives.

clotting agents are available at Bass Pro and other sporting outlets. Always a good addition to have with ammo and bandages.
