bear with me, this is my first vanity and I probably did it completely wrong... I just wanted to encourage whoever might be encouraged by this.

If you are involved in grassroots election activities there are lots of little campaign thingees at my blog, and you are welcome to them. It is a private little blog, I don't sell ads or try to get traffic. There are many different candidates there as well as some banners and stuff for signs... this little encourager looks a lot prettier there.

God speed us all the next 24 days...

A good general not only sees the way to victory; he also knows when victory is impossible.
~~~~~~~~~~
This is the one that hit me the hardest. You must know when to retreat and how to do it in the best way. This can be the difference between winning and losing a war. the side that retreats from losing battles in the smartest fashion gains the upper hand if his opponent does not know how to do it in his losing battles.
Love that Sam Adams quote. It is even more applicable in this day and age. Unfortunately, it would be impossible to convince many of today’s citizens that Samuel Adams words were (or should have been) meant to establish a model for the every day conduct of our lives. It’s really too bad that the founders’ words have been dismissed and forgotten over the years but I believe that this moment in our nation’s history may be an opportunity for renewal and revival of American patriotism.
