The Beatles- (Stoned out of their minds)

While George is completely out of it, oddly enough, Ringo seems fine. Paul is buzzed, as well as John.

IMO The Carpenters rendition of “Ticket to Ride” is far, far greater than the Beatles version.

“Give me the Four Seasons any day of the week!”

Sitting here in upstate New York I had to laugh at the above sentence.

Come on up, and certain times of year you can indeed have the four seasons any day of the week! LOL.

The Four Seasons as well as the Ventures were great.

Too bad his politics are so....you know.

Over 3 decades ago I took my then new bride to an INTIMATE John Hartford concert. No amps, just him, his banjo and that 4x8 sheet of plywood he'd dance on. We had front row seats in a small warehouse converted into a club. Lawn chairs, no a/c and the drinks were...bad.

Since then I've tried to talk her into going to a JP concert but she keeps bringing up the Hartford debacle.

FWIW JP is going to be in Columbus, Toledo and Cincinnati over the next couple of months. That's just a couple hours drive from us in Pittsburgh. Around 2-hundred for a couple of tix.

Just in case Wife is reading this....

Well, look at the thread’s video, and Magical Mystery Tour. Certainly goofy.

Yes they made a lot of money, and some critics loved them. They did a lot of great work.

As for “the history of recorded music”, water has continued to flow in that river, and the hand of time writes on. At that time the Beatles were the most different, most fresh, most popular. Hands down.

Ellie Greenwich even wrote a song complaining, basically, about how popular the Beatles were and how much they changed everything in pop music (for the better, mostly).

A cousin of mine...Seriously.

Roy Kelton Orbison

My last name is Kelton. Not sure of the exact relation, I was too young. I knew he was at a couple of family get togethers but for some strange reason they were the other side (name) of my family. Not sure how the Kelton thing works in.

Elvis?...I probably like him more now than ever...but not that much....

What a ridiculous post. It’s called “lip synching”.... an art form perfected by Milli-Vanilli.

But, I must say that George Harrison's music is my style.

Same here. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is such an incredible song. Hard to believe the rest of the band went along with it.

Attention, attention.

There is some bad acid affecting almost everyone in the 1960's.

Even if you didn't ingest any, it still has an effect on you, like making you think The Beatles are singing or playing instruments in this video.

George Harrison is not, I repeat NOT, a pirate.

You are in a safe place. You are among friends.

Do not trip out.

Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

You gotta’ love John slaughtering the the then unassailable “Population Bomb” crowd before a hostile host and audience (and wife?). He was 100% right:
