My plan yesterday was to take the highway home and exit on Webster, just before the bridge; which I did, forgetting that the highway itself starts to rise long before the bridge; so the wind got stronger & stronger & my car kept getting shoved to the right. I held on for dear life until I hit the Webster exit, just before the bridge, where there were huge warning signs advising top speeds of 45 on the bridge; the truly sobering thing was the sight of two squad cars parked in the median, just waiting for something to happen.....luckily everyone used their heads for once and I believe everybody stayed safe.
There were some truly amazing pictures on the UWGB website yesterday of the southern part of the bay......the water kept getting shoved northward by the wind, and you could actually see the BOTTOM of the bay.....
That must have been scary and it is scary to read about it. I am so glad that you did not go on that bridge. I’ve gotten pushed across the road when on a motorcycle. That was surprising enough! But in a car, I cannot imagine.
Are you at home today or do you have to go out?
BTW, how is your husband?
