Mom's funeral is on course for tomorrow despite assaults from every angle imaginable..Murphy AKA the devil has been busy. My brother arrives later today. My mother loved big parties, good food/music & to entertain. Her send off will be reflective of that spirit of joy
Was to help a few candidate friends over the weekend & up to & including election day but with all the out of town people & work involved(I am doing all), not possible. I will vote & pray hard for results to protect our republic.

I know there are a lot of health, financial and other issues here and I do hope & pray you are all getting through the difficult times. My $$ situation has gone from difficult to unimaginably terrible.. but I KNOW that there is always that light at the end of the tunnel, even though right now it is not visible. Often one door MUST close before others can open. Lots of things to work out to be able to achieve some long range dreams & those new horizons. Just first will get though this weekend & go from there.
My friend Mark might be a part of the trip I had planned in mid Novemeber. Hope to see some of you & have lunch, coffee, drink & chat. I have my son & several good friends for sure to link up with in NC.
My tentative plans for this trip is south to NC, SC, Miss, Ala, La, Texas & ending in Ok for Thanksgiving. Will return the northern route via Tulsa etc. If you are in any of those paths & would like to meet up, please let me know. Getting together for a meal with a group is ideal (like the Onyx, Jemian, Jtill, Gulfcoast6 group) Mark is a libertarian but very supportive of all the causes We here support & not a wacko who has this "Pot for everyone" mentality. He just likes to keep the govt out of everyone's hair & business. I truly feel very close to so many of you even though we have NOT face to faced yet. Many of you I have met & have come to feel akin!
Here is a pix of my mom taken 2 years ago. Isn't she remarkably youthful looking (for 90)? Yes, some sagging(mine is worse) but lots of hair, minimal wrinkles. The best thing of all was that she kept her mind til the last days she communicated. It has been a long 18 year journey here caregiving. I truly thought I would go first, she was always so resilient.
