CHRISTINE O'DONNELL FOR RNC CHAIR
(vanity)

Posted on 11/02/2010 7:29:34 PM PDT by Cringing Negativism Network

OK Michael Steele has started to act the part recently.

But Mike. It's not a tenured position.

It's time for the GOP to step up to the plate, and do the right thing.

Ms. O'Donnell is a star. She's got guts. She's got nerves of steel. And she's got millions of enthusiastic supporters all across the great nation.

Time to start treating her as such.

Do the right thing Steele. Offer your seat to the lady.

A great idea. She can report on how the NRSC stole money
from her campaign after USING her to raise the money.

Not the best choice. It is one thing for her to be a voice among a group, however, a political party is like a Fortune 500 company with major financial and personnel issues to consider. Executive experience is a must. Finance, marketing, PR, or legal backgrounds would be highly desired.

Unfortunately, her resume is pretty light. I could see Palin taking that role or someone like Michael Williams.

You’ve got to be kidding. I was a good team player. After an initial outburst, I got wise and held my tongue (and my keyboard) about COD until the results were in. My instincts tell me I should wait until tonight is over to say my peace. But this crap has got to stop. Seriously. It’s pathetic.

Why all the Michael Steele bashing? He just fired Pelosi and led the GOP to its biggest win since 1938. What more do you want him to do? Win 100 seats? Basically no one under 90 has any recollection of a GOP win of this size.

It’s like you want to fire a coach who just won the Super Bowl

A challenge to you:

(and to all the Mitt-botts who jumped on this thread - thanks for the responses BTW)

Name one. Just one. One. Republican out there today other than Sarah Palin, who would more fire up the base. Marco Rubio is out too, since he just got an even better job in Florida.

Go ahead. Take all the time you need.

Just one name...

No. No. No.

I wanted O’Donnell’s race more than any other but NOT because she was a good candidate - because she was a BAD candidate. A victory in DE would have been a significant repudiation of Obama and his policies.

But that’s the only reason I wanted it. She’s OK, but she’s no Marco Rubio, for example.

Behind Liberal Lines: "No. No. No. PALIN for RNC Chair."

Actually, she is too busy fight off the backstabbing
of Mitt Romney and his surrogates like Rove.

What a scum-bag Romney has turned out to be.

Has there been even one election in the last decade
where Mitt Romney's surrogates have not attacked GOP women
candidates and their children?

Has there been even one time Romney
has told his Team Romney to stop
their vicious attacks on the GOP for him?

First off I consider myself “of the base” and Christine O’Donnell has never fired me up. I don’t even particularly like her. She was a means to an end to take out Castle for me and that is all.

Second the job is not to “fire up the base”. This job is to secure money for elections which *maybe* she could do but also represent and strategize Republican victories. She’d fail in that role. If you want to know who I think should head it then fine. I’ll give you the name. Hayley Barbour. He’s more then qualified and one of the few people that will work with the base but not completely cater to them who is respected with those who hold the purse strings. That man would be ideal to take oer the role for 2012.

Several months ago you would have said “who” about O’Donnell but now she is the candy on your plate- think long term, not just a pop-culture whomever is in the headlines this day. Williams has been a star in Texas politics for a decade, he is extremely Conservative, and I’ve never seen someone fire up a room like him. There has been a major grass roots movement for him to take John Cornyn or Kay Baily’s seat and he actually has polled better than them.

Ms. O'Donnell is a star. She's got guts. She's got nerves of steel. And she's got millions of enthusiastic supporters all across the great nation.

What on earth is wrong with some of you people? It's as if you don't understand political realities at all. O'Donnell just utterly failed to even compete in Delaware, and you want to make her the face of the Republican Party?

It's like you and others simply refuse to see the obvious. She is not someone Americans are going to take seriously, and is widely regarded as something of a joke. Why on earth would we want her to be the face of the Republican Party?

If anything, tonight should remind the dreamers just how hard it is to win over the American people. We have a terrible economy right now, and the Republican party was still unable to win by the kind of margins many people were predicting. We need GOOD candidates, and a GOOD face for the party - not someone like COD who is damn near a clownish figure who has no chance of pulling independent and mushy middle voters over to our side.

See, in my opinion that’s the real problem.

The GOP has had nothing (but) “sleepers” for the last 20 years.

We tried that. It hasn’t been working. What we need, is some caffein! No more sleeping please.

Some adrenalin.

Some spirit. And frankly, pissing off liberals at the same time would be fun and useful too!!

If you’re going to so quickly dismiss Ms. O’Donnell, then at very least show the consideration to suggest someone you believe to be better.

So?...

Resigning is too good for the treacherous wimp. He should be horsewhipped on the steps of Republican HQ and ridden out of town on the same rail as an equally tarred and feathered Karl Rove.

These two cost us the Senate in this race. No guts. No integrity. No competence. No balls. No support for Rossi, Angle, O'Donnell, and a host of others.

Need a job, Mike? Get your vacant face on the Uncle Ben's Box. Understand they hire for color.

You have such exquisite taste in candidates, can you locate and convince your kind of candidate to run in the next election? We certainly need them...

Condemning a good conservative who got railroaded by RINO elites is definitely NOT a good use of your time or this forum. Just sayin.

Yeah, that too. I despise Mitt and resent the idea it’s only Mitt supporters who don’t favor the idea.

I’ll put it another way. Christine O’Donnell is no Sarah Palin and she never will be. Sarah lacked experience on a national stage but she was an accomplished woman with some formed opinions who made it where she did largely on her own. Christine is a woman who parroted conservative talking points and tried to take advantage of the Tea Party movement to finally land that public office she’s been after for several years with some questionable actions in her past that make me question her integrity.

I’ve made it known I don’t favor her and didnt expect her to win but I’ve mostly held my tongue about this groupie attitude towards her but she’s lost and now I will address it. This needs to stop. You are in it for the movement or you are in it for the personality. I want conservatism to succeed. I’ll drop someone cold if I think they can’t make that happen. Sometimes I’m willing to take a gamble as with Angle but I am not going to walk over the cliff for someone like O’Donnell’s who’s main appeal seems to be Rove dislikes her.
