Exactly. I held my tongue as well, but now it needs to be said. COD failed to win office despite riding a political wave of truly epic proportions. If you can’t win under those circumstances, you’re done, and it’s time to admit it.

She’s got a Scarlet “L” across her forehead.

I think Palin would be a good fit for the position, moreso than as POTUS, because a President has to work with her opponents and compromise, which doesn’t play to her strengths. As RNC Chairman, she can be a bulldog full-time, where she shines.

Yep. That’s Palin’s talent, being the conscience/chief funderaiser/brains of the party.

Not every conservative star needs to be an elected official. Just look at Rush. We’re far better off that Limbaugh stayed behind the mike instead of giving into the temptation to run for president, congress or the senate. I see Palin the same way.

No, she would be great as a frequent guest on Bill Mahar.

Christine was no kookier than Joe Biden! DE doesn't send the best to D.C.

With all due respect this post is a joke, you are a troll or a idiot to think COD should be chair of the RNC

Just caught up in the passions of the moment I suspect, much like those who wanted to run Scott Brown (a RINO by the standards of most around here) immediately after his special election win in Massachusetts.

I can remember when calling myself a conservative was a hallmark of intelligence...

You're a conservative?

With all due respect right back at you, it’s high time for our side to stop allowing democrats and the media, working hand in hand right off the pages of Saul Alinsky, to select/eliminate our candidates.

With our own, maddeningly cooperative assistance!!

The process works like this: Liberals identify an individual (such as Newt Gingrich) as a potent, emerging political threat. They’re good at that, because it’s their entire way of life.

Once they determine who is the current most potent potential emerging political threat on our side, they isolate that individual for mudslinging and attack.

They then, barrage that person mercilessly.

Our side, then, FOLDS LIKE A WET BLANKET. Throwing the person liberals want to weaken, under the bus.

Every. Single. Time.

We should be doing exactly the opposite. The moment it becomes apparent the left has selected a specific conservative for an Alinsky sabotage. That INDIVIDUAL should, like in chess, be protected.

Think about a chess game. Sometimes the game plays out such that each player will have 5-deep attack/defense moves all focused on a specific square, even maybe protecting one single pawn.

Because that pawn, at that moment, can change the game.

The left has been taking out our pawns with impunity - and we do nothing. Nothing! Time and again, we roll over and scamper away once the left starts on one of our good people, like dogs which have had a newspaper shaken at them.

We’ve becomed trained to do what the left wants.

I say, we deliberately, and with abandon, do EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE.

If the left wants to eliminate Christine O’Donnell as a political threat.

I say: We build her up to be more, than they ever feared.

That’s where I’m coming from. I’m fed up with liberals being in charge.

I want us to be pushing back harder, every time.

We should be backing liberals down, every time they do this.

So no, I’m not joking. And no, I don’t believe I’m a troll.

I want us to win. With conviction, and with some amount of in-your-face right back at the left.

Idiot troll.

It’s difficult to imagine anyone doing worse than Steele. He’s been a disaster.

I very much wanted Christine to win. I detest the Rovian Elite RINOs for defeating her.

But she doesn’t belong at the head of the RNC. She’s not strong enough for that particular fundraising and marxist attacking position.

We need a really strong warrior. First choice: Give it to Sarah if she wants it but she probably doesn’t. She has the best possible position right now short of running for POTUS. Maybe even better than running for POTUS.

After that I’m not sure who would be good but they need to be a BRIGHT VOCAL WARRIOR. Ann Coulter comes to mind but she won’t do it either.

That’s two strikes for me. Maybe I need a relief pitcher now.

Can you give evidence to the contrary? Now, given that it’s you who is asking, I’ll gladly admit that I’m not crushing on Palin, so if that’s your definition of conservative, I’ll happily fail.

The problem is that I doubt we can agree on which pieces on the board are worth protecting.

I agree with your entire premise except for one glaring problem

COD is not a political threat to nobody

She is a nice candidate for local or even state races, but she is so far from running with the big dogs it’s not even funny

I can't recall you ever expressing a conservative viewpoint on any issue.

Show me where I’ve expressed a liberal viewpoint, and no, not being in Palin’s corner is not a liberal viewpoint.

You are right, she is a star, not a manager or an executive. The job of the GOP chairman is to be an executive and a manager, and only vocationally a spokesman, not a star.
