I always bought a Tiger Beat magazine and after my parents died I found a poster in the attic that was mine. It had the Osmond brothers on one side and the Jackson 5 on the other. I gave it to my pre-teen son who was a big Michael Jackson fan and told him to see what Michael looked like when he was his age.
That boy looked at me like I was off my rocker and said in that condescending tone of pre-teens “Mother, Michael Jackson’s not black!”
Same here. I’d heard he was an EMT, but just discovered he’s also been a sheriff and is now with the LAPD training cadets in CPR and first aid. One of the few who traded in celebrity for service.

A long time ago, I worked security at a Shaun Cassidy concert. The only problems were with traffic control: Hardly any of the people in the audience were old enough to drive, so they had their parents drop them off, then pick them up at the end of the show.
Oh when I was 11 I was sure I was going to grow up and marry him.Now I’m glad that that did not come true.I don’t think he is holding up well at all.
