The sad truth is, misanthropes are refreshing. People get tired of politically correct images with sweet-n-low smiles, concerned looks orchestrated with dimple depth measured by the millimeter.
People can assume that a misanthrope is just kidding. Or, there's a side to them that wishes there weren't so many traffic jams or long lines at the stores. No worries, FRiend. People overwhelmingly rejected the anti-humanist ruling class. They might not realize the full depth of evil yet, but mainstream America is sounding more like FReepers every day.
[Also good to remember that many people would rather mock a lunatic like Turner than brand him as the evil man he is. It's just a social approach people choose.]
Maybe it was only a contrail, but a vanity ridicule of FR is not called for.

If you think that's acceptable for this forum, that's wonderful. I wasn't mocking FR at all; I was mocking conspiracy nuts who take something easily explainable and construct wild, complicated stories to turn it into something malevolent.
IMO, the nonsense thrown around here lately about the contrail was laughable, but harmless. But when forum participants started throwing around crap about their "military contacts," my trollometer and BS-meter goes off.
It's the Internet equivalent of the guy at a party who gives us the skinny from his "operator" friends.
The thread that I mocked was titled, "Just Spoke W/ Very Senior Ret. USAF Officer. Says USAF, NORAD, Etc. Have "No Clue" About Missile." C'mon. Putting that in "Breaking News?" The other thread deserved to be mocked. And my thread developed wonderfully; it contains as much reason and fact as that other thread. And slightly more nutters muttering about "THE TRUTH!"
