Okay. Tell me what I said that you disagree with. I said three things:
I said that True Grit was not a good movie (I meant to say not a GREAT movie but the typo is my error and I take responsibility for it).
I said John Wayne had much better performance in his career.
I disparaged Glen Campbell’s acting. (surely you don’t disagree on that)

Personally I thought his performance “although forgettable” somehow added to the charm of the movie.
His back and forth with Kim Darby at the dinner table was a typical example,a bit wooden but never came across as forced or contrived. Just an example of why I actually liked Campbell in the role.
John Wayne was terrific creating the unforgettable character Rooster Cogburn. I can’t imagine anyone personifying the steel, grit, debauchery and lovability in that character better than he.
