Imho, these questions should have been addressed to Jim directly, and also privately. Openly challenging his stated views about what he wants for HIS site is impolite, since we are all guests here.

I think most of us here have always looked at this as our site. I have donated to this place in the past. I am personal friends with people on this site for a long LONG period of time. I have participated in Freeping events since when Al Gore was just starting to run for President. I am responsible for a lot of people becoming very active members to this site over so many years. I have used this site in the past to get people to become active Republicans. My question goes to the site, Jim, and everyone who contributed... I have yet to say if I'm pro-choice or a Romney supporter (you could look at my posts in the past to see if I have done either one). It is good for the conservative community to allow people to post thoughts that are different then us and allow people to school them. It teaches all of us what to say on the street when we are debating against these people... I know it is annoying to sometimes hear people support someone we don't like and support issues we don't like. This is our opportunity to teach someone who maybe has the best intent in mind to explain things to them they dont know. When you do this in front of all the other Freepers then they will have talking points they can use to say defend Pro-Life views when talking to someone who is Pro-Choice... Make the rules what you want. I just remember creating so many accounts on DU to just simply and politely question some of their thoughts and being booted. I was booted for the dumbest reasons. They will not allow anyone to question anything there. Id hate to see FR become that. I think its a mistake for so many reasons. We can handle people questioning us here because we have the answers and the facts to reply back with.
