Listened to the video, and a few others of her. Her voice is too shrill for my tastes, although the baggage she carries doesn’t help my opinion any.

Now Al was a creative guy compared to Joan.
I once criticized an Alabama history textbook for middle school students because it had info about Joan Baez coming to this state to sing at “civil rights” demonstrations but the book made no mention of Helen Keller who is actually from Alabama.

I once criticized an Alabama history textbook for middle school students because it had info about Joan Baez coming to this state to sing at “civil rights” demonstrations but the book made no mention of Helen Keller who is actually from Alabama. This is the type of nonsense that the Texas textbook controversy centered around. If I recall, McCarthyism is discussed but not in the same grades or classes as The Cold War, Marxism, Stalin, etc.
Makes it easier to divide the negative aspects of Communism from coursework.
