Conrad Green, executive producer of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, is “mystified” by this week’s Bristol Palin vs. Brandy brouhaha. Green called EW to address rumors of a so-called Tea Party conspiracy designed to help Bristol Palin advance into Monday’s season 11 finals.
"She’s improved every week. I think a lot of people are ignoring the fact that she’s actually a decent dancer. What I think is annoying people is that maybe she’s not as vivid a performer as some of the other dancers on the show. Kyle is quite a performer, but Bristol is probably in terms of technique a better dancer than Kyle. But she’ll never get credit for that. The thing is, when you look at her, she’s actually quite shy. Watching someone develop stage presence is actually quite fascinating to watch, and I think that’s why some people are rooting for her..."

I ran across this interview with the show's producer. He addresses the voting issue, but what I thought was more interesting was his defense of Bristol. He comes off as very sympathetic, and has an admiration for her.

It’s nice to see someone on ABC with a spine for a change..I am glad to see that he comes out defending Bristol and he is absolutely right. Every week Brandy’s voting went down, people were just voting for her and after Mak went on his little hissy fit tirade I knew he was finished
What difference does it make? Isn’t the show about getting votes from the audience? Don’t all the participants have supporters who vote for them? The left are such frickin’ idiots, they will say or do anything to make Palin and her children look bad even if what they say makes no sense what so ever.
Yeah, I’m watching Geraldo tonight and he’s talking about it. Apparently conservatives are “stuffing the ballot box” and he’s wondering if it will impact the credibility of these reality shows. Yikes! All I can say is it would be nice if he showed that much concern over the real ballot-box stuffing in the real elections. (sigh)

Bingo. If supporters of Bristol Palin can vote, so can supporters of other contestants. Live with it.
On the other hand, if supporters of Sharron Angle keep "accidentally" voting for Harry Reid, that's freepin important.

Liberals carefully guard who is permitted face time in the entertainment industry. Only radicals. Bristol is not welcome unless she is there to be ridiculed and hated and she’s holding her own in this show. That is why the liberals are going bonkers. One got by them!
I am not a particular fan of DWS, but when I have the time I do happen onto the DWS threads and am amused in a fun way by some of the posts.
It is very strange to me to have the ‘Dirty Dancing’ movie star as a competitor against a complete novice... but I heard/read that next DWS will promote ‘queer’ dancing by a woman on woman pair...
It does appear that Miss Bristol has worked very hard and demonstrates a good work ethic to have a producer speak out on her behalf...

Voila! People who watch NBC or CNN, in my experience, tend to be Palin family haters. If asked why they hate the Palins, they can't give a definitive answer, only vague statements that make no sense at all. Those who listen to and heed RINOs like Karl Rove, also tend to be Palin haters. John McCain, RINO, really doesn't come out pro-Palin in any demonstrative manner.
Liberal leaning snakes have forked tongues, whether they be media, RINOs or idiots who believe whatever propaganda they hear from those sources.

“Reality TV” is an oxymoron. Anyone that thinks these ‘reality’ shows are the least bit credible should bid on the oceanfront property I have a line on in the next county...

DWTS has been including gays and those promoting gay rights on recent shows. The degree of their intent to push the buttons of viewers will determine whether DWTS remains welcome in my home next year (social issues should not be the focus of dance competitions).
