Probably just a server problem, it happens.
I’d like to know too. Latency is fine - my packets are reaching there and going back well. I’ve got a few proxy errors; maybe the proxy is whacked, maybe there’s a DOS and the server (or proxy) is overloaded, but I’m not able to measure that from here. I’ve read some rumors about bad weather, I don’t know how can that be affecting.
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /focus/chat/2646169/posts.
Reason: Error reading from remote server
Weird error. It means that the server and the proxy aren't understanding each other. It can be a misconfiguration of either or some odder thing. In short, I have kind of nothing, strange thing :(

Down in the Republic of Panama I have been having the same problems. FreeRepublic is sometimes available but generally not. I was able to ping the site with no difficulty. Skype has also been a problem although most other sites are available.
So I think we should place the blame at Obama’s feet.
No problem at all, if that makes it work or work faster.
FreeRepublic is all about substance, not whirly-gigs and blinking irritant flashy things that are on almost ALL other websites.
Leave it like this if need be.
ps, now it is intermittent, sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I have been having problems all day long getting on here.

I also cannot access WeaselZippers since last week when they were making adjustments to the site. I get a 403 Forbidden error. Not being computer savvy, I cannot tell if it's something on my end.
