Yesterday, a friend of mine called me on the phone. He told me McDonalds had a special (for Florida and Southeast Georgia) for Buy a Big Mac, get the second Big Mac free. I took advantage of that so I ended up eating 2 Big Macs for supper for a total of just $3.50.
Anyway, it occurred to me that there are a lot of Fast Food restaurant deals out there but we don't know about a majority of them until it is too late. Therefore, please post your fast food restaurant deals on this thread when you find them for easy reference for the rest of us.
Well, okay; but you have to figure in that you ate enough calories for an entire day, and the eventual cost of heart surgery, before you take a deal like two Big Macs for the price of one.
I can’t eat fast food any longer, I’ve spoiled myself with really good food for too long. It would tear up my insides.
I’m not worried. My cholesterol count is very low. I think it is because I take several fish oil pills each day.
I HATE to be a party pooper. $3.50 for two hamburgs is not a deal. Buy $3.50 worth of fresh ground chuck. Add some salt, pepper, a dash of la sauce anglais. Form into patties and fry them up. Taste much better.
UGH! I can only imagine what a gut-bomb THAT must have been. Constipation here I come!
2 For $5. Chicken Breast Sandwich. Crispy Or Roast.
Well, there is a convenience and cost factor. Sometimes you have to eat on the run.
Why anybody would eat two microwaved from frozen patties with secret sauce with ingredients the Chinese object to is beyond me.

KFC had a better deal in November. There were coupons for FREE KFC chicken sandwiches when you ordered a large drink. Drinks were under two bucks and for that you also got the sandwich. I also have coupons for Chicken Kitchen. Spend $15 or more and your bill is automatically cut in half.
Please forgive me for suffering NO ill effects after eating the 2 Big Macs.
I'm on your side.
Just makes those calories slide on down! LOL!!
I'm not picking on you; I love fast food treats as much as the next person. In our area, they often send out coupon books. I go ahead and get the 20-nugget deals, too much for me for one sitting, and then freeze most of them.
What’s ironic is that people will go on and on about how bad for you fast food is, but have no problem with eating processed foods from the grocery store that are just as bad.
I’d just like to know what a “Beef O’Bradys” is.
I live in Texas ... for all I know Beef O'Bradys is not here... I'd reather go to Whataburger anyway (the #1 burger on Texas toast ROCKS).
“First I heard of this place was the college football bowl game that was on the other night... “
Same here.
3 years ago I challenged my wife/kids to stop eating fast food. We never ate at McD, but Arbys, Wendy, and Culvers were friends of ours. They have survived, my oldest lost some weight, and my wallet has gained a lot of weight.
You are right, you have to plan a lot better. But it is possible. And the prize money I give them each month for not eating fast food only eats away a small amount of my realized savings. ;)
I haven't stuck to it as religiously as my kids, eat at Hardees occasionally, and I have to confess to a couple trips a year to McD to eat a fillet-o-fish...mmmmm.
