Yesterday, a friend of mine called me on the phone. He told me McDonalds had a special (for Florida and Southeast Georgia) for Buy a Big Mac, get the second Big Mac free. I took advantage of that so I ended up eating 2 Big Macs for supper for a total of just $3.50.
Anyway, it occurred to me that there are a lot of Fast Food restaurant deals out there but we don't know about a majority of them until it is too late. Therefore, please post your fast food restaurant deals on this thread when you find them for easy reference for the rest of us.
I had gut issues years ago to that diet care put in remission.
On the road I fast with liqueds (tomato juice before the trip is filling) and eat sunflower seeds and for sugar pings I will pop a Starburst esp. on the last leg of a 13yr road trip drive, that and ice chips to keep me alert.
If I do indulge in FFood on a road trip I eat in the parking lot and then hang out for the run to the potty.
Some of us lose tasting abilities as we age so FFood tends for me to either taste like salt or sugar. No fun.
Need more pungent food like Parsnips.
I tried orgnaic Salmon oil pills for skin issue and I burp up stale fish flavor.
Then I crave Seafood Buffet;crab;peel n eat shrip;salmon.
Are you single?
Makes a diff on where you eat/what you shop for.
If I want Pasta I don’t cook a pot of speghetti else as a single person I will be stuck with it for a week.
Same if I buy a cake, it goes bad before it gets eaten or I give it away.
I don’t think folks are hatin’ on fast food as much as some of us have to be careful for health reason we already have.
Not fun living with restrictions. Count your blessings.
For economic and health plus being home bound at times I go real cheap and eat swiss cheese/tomato/pickle sandwhich and once to twice a week I liqued fast with lots of real Tomato juice (I would bleed tomato juice if you cut me) which costs $1.65 for a large Safeway can for that 24hr period.
Then I go out once a week to eat where there is a buffet so I can taste a bit of all my favorite. Then top it off with Indian Fry Bread smothered in Honey Whipped Butter and cinnamon with an ice cold glass of milk.
I just don’t have time to cook at home and I no longer enjoy the task.
We have the best Fried Chicken at our local family owned grocery/deli.
Wends. special $5.88 for 2 legs/2wings/2breasts/2thighs.
Choice of Deep Fried or Roasted or Mix box.
That lasts 3 days with left overs for the Cold Nose Crew.
A couple of years ago, Chick Fil had a great deal. Just show up wearing clothing with sports team logos and you get a free chicken sandwich. My wife and I got free chicken sandwiches that way.
