The color Of Lightning -— a true story about an African-american former slave in Texas who rescued his wife and children from the comanche. It’s fictionalized but based on fact. Amazing story.

Just finished A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. Understood about 2/3 of it even though it was “dumbed down” for the common folk. Just starting The Camel Club on CD by David Baldacci (I’ve read a couple of others of this series but never got around to reading the first one until now).

“Hell’s Corner” by David Baldacci (one of my two favorite fiction writers). Next up is “What the Night Knows”, the newest from Dean Koontz (my other favorite.) Just finished “The Book Thief” and “Cutting for Stone”. No spies, evil CIA or FBI bosses or hero special forces soldiers. (Actually, a nice change of pace.)

yeah, i still love going to the bookstore, too...but this kindle thing.....best thing since sliced bread...

my current printed library is about 950 volumes...and my wife said we are running out of room to store them all...so the kindle makes alot of sense at this point of my reading addiction.

I suspect my complete library, printed and electronic, will exceed 1500 by the end of the year. the free stuff for the kindle is incredible! I love this thing... :)

I am reading the Elizabeth George mystrey’s. I’m totally obsessed with them... I’ve been ordering them three at a time used from Amazon, and become slightly unglued if I finish them all before the next shipment arrives.

What am I going to read when I’mdsone with them all?

Thanks MplsSteve. I've been listening to Decision Points by George W. Bush (abridged CD audiobook version), and reading The Vikings: A History by Robert Ferguson, plus a half dozen more I'm not counting because, well, I'm not sure where they are right now. Probably lost in the car, or maybe within ten feet of here. [blush] And I'm probably forgetting some. I probably listed them in your previous quarterly thread.

What am I going to read when I’m done with them all?

Speaking as one who has read all of her mysteries, it is the pits because she only publishes a Det. Lynley mystery every two years. There is one due out in 2011, around May.
