I worry about the political repercussions of these media attacks.

Posted on 01/09/2011 4:15:09 PM PST by Jaguarmike

It's a terrible thing to admit, so close after the shootings. But the Left hates to let a crisis go to waste. Even this loony Tuscon sheriff seems to put more blame on free speech than the shooter. His demougogic (sp)display on the Fox interview was appalling. ("When people try to stand in the way of those who want to make this a better country...") WTF?

The Left is going all out to blame the Tea Party for this. I truly pray the American people will seem for what they are - ghouls who try to score political points while the corpses are still warm. But I don't know.

What do you think?

I agree, as soon as I found out that the shooter was a White Male, I knew we were going to get screwed no matter what.

Average people take the media attacks as attacks on them because they feel the same way as in our latest election.Obama attacked the police saying they acted foolishly. That set this whole thing off and we feel good as in Glenn Beck rally that we are normal. This will play against the Dems again.

They have been looking for the right excuse all along, to try and destroy talk radio and anyone that is a mouthpiece against this administration.

I wouldn’t get too upset about someone who wrongly accuses Republicans of being responsible for this guy’s actions. It’s ludicrous on its face. The guy’s an irrational nut, with no interest in, or connection with, any Republicans.

People who disagree with you want you to be the scapegoat for this. Don’t be a scapegoat.

It will stir the lefties but normal Americans can see through the craven political cheapshots. You can see they had their stories written long before this happened.

Pray for the Victims

Here's what I think.

Concern Troll

If you're "worried", get a dog.

I think 68% of the American people can’t find Hawaii on a map. What do you think?

I think about 48% of the American people couldn't find their own State on a map!

I agree. The Memorial Service for Paul Wellstone is the best example.

I have to agree. The backlash against this is going to be fearsome. They are having their fun today but when Rush hits the airwaves tomorrow and Fox gets its regular lineup up and running, it is going to be open season on this sherrif and his not so hidden agenda.

What the left still fails to grasp is that the “Tea Party” was not some kooky political movement of far right extremists. It was a grassroots movement of average citizens that were disgusted and repulsed by the arrogance of power they saw on display in DC and in the MSM and still see on display. Unable to let that go, the MSM continues to slime the citizens of this country. In effect, the MSM is saying: “How dare you little nothings not vote for your betters. Now we are going to double down and not only call you racists, but terrorists. Not only that, we are going to call for banning you.”

The democrats and their media slaves spend every waking moment thinking about how to strip those they disagree with of their rights and legitimacy. This is just another stab.

Very well put. The political left and their DBM sycophants have gotten a 36 hour head start on the air and in print - they always have pretty much free reign on weekends but nobody’s paying much attention then anyhow.

The conservative big guns (oops-has that word been banned yet?) have spent 36 hours amassing evidence which will be unleashed in a torrent starting with Glen Beck tomorrow at 9 AM and will pick up speed throughout the day and will continue for days, if not weeks.

Most of us would have been content with letting this story be about a nutjob stalker with a death wish-case closed.

But the left had to turn this into a chance to attack upstanding, law abiding, concerned citizens whose only crimes are to voice opposition to the liberal agenda by questioning Democrats at town meetings, gathering peacefully and voting for conservatives.

Attacks on successful conservative talk radio people are to be expected and Beck, Rush, Hannity, et al are no doubt delighted in the left’s stupidity in mounting the attacks because 1) they have 15 hours a week to respond and 2) their audience share will skyrocket this week. You can bet those guys are giddy with glee and will probably not sleep a wink tonight in anticipation of “more fun than a human being should be allowed to have” tomorrow.

The left, inc. that sheriff with diarrhea of the mouth will rue their tactics. Next week is going to be very entertaining.

Relax. That pompous sheriff is already lawyering-up, worried about his own liabilities in this tragedy, and he's a lightning rod for real investigators.

The Insane Left doesn't have much going for it, especially truth. Over the long haul, most people can pick out a straight stick out from a pile of crooked ones.

Grab hold of all the objective reality you can and build your house on the rock, not the sand.
