YUCK, he beats me to the phone. We have 6 kids between us 7 grands, 1 great grand and they do use the cell number.

Forwarding your home number to your cell has some good points, no one knows you are not home......

I kept getting robocalls every morning and they do not leave a message if you don’t pick up. They call the next day, and the next day and the next day...I picked up the phone once and dropped in on the bed and went out to get my coffee...Hung up the phone about a hour later and have not gotten any calls since then....Just let them prattle on to an empty phone...

We get calls for “surveys” ... “Oh,no, we’re not selling anything, we just want to get your opinion on this matter...”

I had a telemarketer once tell me that they’re not allowed to hang up until the person they called has done so.

When in the mood, I keep talking to them about whatever happens to come into my mind at the time. It’s truly amazing how long one can keep them on the phone line by just discussing the weather. While they’re having to talk to me, they’re not making any money. I’ve decided if I have to put up with their phone calls, I may as well have some fun with it.

I’ve been getting calls from the “Card Services” scam again. The recording tells me my credit card rate is going up, but they can help me. They want me to hit “1” to speak to a person, and some other number so they won’t call me again.

The “don’t call again” option is useless because they always do call again.

Get their company name, address, and phone number and the name of the person you're talking to. Report them to the Federal Trade Commission. FTC Complaint Assistant When I start asking for this information, one of two things happens, either they hang up on me, because they don't want to give it out; or I end up with enough info to file a formal complaint with the FTC, and I tell the telemarketer that I'm going to do that, then they hang up on me.

Report them to the FTC. See post 66 for the link. I’ve dealt with Card Services. They’ll give you their address and other info, then tell them you’re filing a formal complaint with the FTC. They hang up on me every time. After I did that 3 times, they quit calling me.
